Peter, great choice of car and spec, I know you are going to enjoy the Z4 and if my son was older it would be a car I would go for myself.
Regarding the colour I like the white and the one I have sat in a BMW showroom was white with the pure white design interior package which looked fantastic in my opinion. It sounds strange to have white on white but the wood and black dash and doors minus door cards were enough to break the colour up. The red also looks superb and it is more in keeping with the Imola reds of the past (ala Z4 M ) and looks from the pics to be one of BM's better attempts at this colour. To be honest I would be happy with either combo you are showing with White exterior on White or red interior and Red exterior with contrasting White or black. Being on websites like this makes us all a bit braver in car colours as we see others being brave and love the pics of their new cars. I also like the dark blue with white interior and see one almost everyday commuting in the opposite direction to me. Dark blues and black are a pain to keep looking good and as this is a fun car I think you should do it justice with a fun colour. So I would go White , white or red black if it was my choice. Can you buy a wind deflector to go between the rear headrests on the new Z4? I found this a useful option to keep a warmer cabin for colder weather top down motoring and stopped a lot of buffeting in the cabin. Whatever you go for enjoy your new car. I sat in this today, all I need now is a spare £160k...

Gibbo, thanks. You suit the Merc!
There is a wind deflector, it comes as part of the Comfort Pack, slots between the rollover bars I think. |

For me Peter, it's either Deep Sea Blue or Sapphire Black with the Ivory interior. The white looks stunning but don't think I'd personally go for it (but would possibly always want to ). Red, never liked red cars.
Just me of course .
