cars fitted with FWM2 or FMW3 can be coded by an autologic, simply by applying the LED retrofit option that is available in their system. this works great on FWM3 but has been a bit hit and miss on FWM2. my car appears to be a miss rather than a hit, in that the coding for the tail lights worked fine but not the indicators (I got the globe check error on both indicators and the ghetto-style rapid flashing!) if this is the case then FWM2 can still be coded manually eg using NCSexpert but you have find someone that can do it. this proved a bit difficult for me, as the guy I am using has an autologic only. agree XSBOOST, pity I am not in SE QLD the guy who did my car spent half a day trying to code it with no success, including talking to autologic overseas and calling a mate of his at a BMW dealer. the BMW dealer indicated that for cars fitted with a FWM2 seeking the LED retrofit, a FWM3 is required in order for a dealer to fit it ie they won't even try with a FWM2. I think that echoes what zenderm3 said in a previous post. so I gave up and ordered the FWM3. anyway they look sweet so all good with me |
