Thumbs up Just changed to M193 18" summer wheels, and...

...yessss, the tires are Michelin Pilot Sport ZP! :rocks:

I didn't know before, because the wheels were stored at the dealer and my car was delivered with winter wheels. I really hoped for Michelins.

The ride is soooo smooth, much better than my 17" Blizzaks.

Just wanted to share my happiness!

Edit: Added pics further down.

Just came back from a little drive, the tires are absolutely amazing, very smooth, no tramlining at all and even more comfortable compared to my 17" Blizzaks.

Highly recommandable!

The PS2's are the first runflats I have not had to ditch, they are fantastic!!

I had Bridgestones on my 535d m-sport and they were awful, so ditched them for Pirelli P-Zero Neros (non run flats) and we had Pirelli run flats on my 120d m-sport which were so bad we got rid of them with around 2mm wear, still have a good 5mm left on them, but the ride and handling is almost dangerous.

Before I collected my 335i I bought a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GDS3's for the car, but to my surprise it came with Michelin Pilot Sport 2's (my favourite non run flat tyre) and I was very happy, I didn't realise until I got home that these were runflats, I know cars from sept 06 build goty new suspension parts too, and I think that combined with these tyres the ride is back to proper BMW.
Mine have only done 6000 miles though so I will keep an eye on them, but at the moment they are spot on.

What tire pressure are you running?

I have 2.2 bar front and 2.5 bar rear, but the rear of the car feels a tad 'loose'.

Yes, but they are 275/35/18.

And they have totally different thread pattern:

That is the original Pilot Sport, not the PS2.

I am running the same pressures, and the back is loose on the PS2's, but it is very progressive, you can feel it go, exactly what you want really.
By that I mean it will let go early, but you can feel this right from the start, compare that with a Goodyear Eagle GDS3 or a Pirelli P-Zero Nero or Rosso, all of these have a better overall grip, but, and it is a big but when they go it is usually too late to do anything about it, you no longer have any control. For 99% of drivers this is better as they will never get to the point where they go, but if you like to push you car hard, the progression with the PS2's really does let you know what is going on.

When I first got my M3 CSL I took the PS2's off as I needed to get used the the car, which is very tail happy, but when you get to know your car there is no better road tyre.

Thanks for the input!

Now that I have put some miles on them, it improved a bit.
Very happy with this rubber! Hopefully they don't melt as fast as my Blizzaks...
