Happy COBB customer!
Hi,
I will keep this pretty short as many others have described in detail about the unit, packaging, the install procedure, blah blah blah. Mine is a stock 2008 e90 335i. I previously had a JB+ installed and I thought I was happy with it, until I came across the COBB Accessport and I was immediately drawn in to the idea of not having to mess around with the electronics of the car and having to uninstall hardware every time I went to the dealer. Another bonus for me was the fact that the unit comes with free future upgrades of maps, because I did not want to buy a piece of hardware and it becoming obsolete a few months down the road through the release of a newer, better one. So I took the bath and bought it. Thanks again to Alan at **********s.com for the great assistance and hooking me up with a fair deal on this unit. So I loaded the map for 93 octane and went for a spin... all I can say is holy f'ing crap! This car is a beast now! I cannot believe that this kind of power has been "reserved" in this car and the COBB was able to unleash it. Power delivery is smooth, and I had no trouble driving in wife-in-car mode, but push that accelerator down just a tad more and watch out! I have trouble keeping the rubber on the road now so I guess I will be looking for some new tires pretty soon, as the stock run-flats are clearly not up to the task any more. Great job COBB and Alan at **********s.com. Happy customer here! (Oh, and anyone coming from a JB+ or stock car and not being totally blown away by this tune needs to get their butt-dyno examined...)

Congrats and thank you for the kind words! Yeah, we're having that problem on our shop cars too...1st and 2nd gear make a lovely mess of the rear tires
Let us know if we can be of assistance in any other way, and thank you very much for your purchase! Best regards- Lance |

You must have gotten a different version of the software than us guys who bought the product several months ago - mine is nice, but well within expectations for 60 or so extra hp - certainly no 100++ hp "beast"

To me it sure feels like 100++ HP, it's a different car. Perhaps the 30% gain in torque is what my butt-dyno likes most!

Right on!! Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to see some more dynos and 1/4 before/after runs w/ the Cobb AP. Seems like a Great mod!! I ran it on a few of my prior STI's and was great!

just installed mine yesterday ... thanks to Alan @ **********s who helped me with a little hiccup I ran into after the install, but now I'm all set and i've been very pedal happy (even with the ridiculous gas prices).
the car is definitely a whole new creature. keep up the awesome work Cobb! |

OP you have a 93 octane map for stage 1? I assume more power is made with 93 right?
impressive to still be blown away even coming from a JB+!

N55 Love?
Any work on whether Cobb will be producing a flash for the N55?

I still have my snows on, but with a WOT my traction control is still chiming in @ 40. Most enjoyment I have had driving a car. Bang for your buck is incredible. |

I placed my order over the phone with Ron @ ModBargins.com and was all set to get the JB4 and some other stuff for my 09 335xi. He mentioned the COBB and said that folks were really happy with it. I said I would get back to him and jumped on the forums to see what you all were saying and check out the COBB product.
Well, you all seem to be very happy with this upgrade and after reaseaching it for a bit, I thought that it is a more "elegant" way of boosting power. So COBB it is! Ron was very helpful and honest, not pushy at all. When all was said and done, here is what I got: COBB AP HKS cat back exhaust Afe DCI BSH oil catch can CDV and from another dealer AR Design oil cooler and retrofit kit. My Credit card is on fire, but I am a happy dude. I'll let you know as I get things installed. HKS is 6 to 8 week back order. Ray |
