the fuel depends on the town you`re driving and on the stile .......my E90 318i in the firs 8-9.000km the consumption was 12-14% but now after 10.000km is 9.9 and i drive in a preaty heavy trafic i do more " stop-go" so relax it`s normal for a higher consumption !!!! and is a trick whit the acceleration pedal .... i have notice thate when you change the gear u don`t have tu push the pedal heavy because it is a very big consumption u have to push is nice and gentli and.....another ex : after i change the gear from 1 to 2 i pus the acceleration when a I ~30km and 2000rpm let`s say i releas slow the acceleration [the instant consumption show be at 5%] an i`m keeping tha same speed 30km at ~2000rmp whit a very low consumption in a trafic jam !!! i think you understand something

I'm getting 17-18mpg (US) with fairly conservative city driving with my auto 330xi, but it goes as high as 27mpg with strictly highway cruising.

I average about 22-23mpg with mostly highway and a fair amount of city traffic. I'm not exactly a conservative driver either, but I'm not always pushing it either.
I've gotten as high as 31.5mpg on a conservative highway cruise of about 60 miles though.

I get 12mpg, 13.6 Average. Although to get this, I set my car in MPG, so I could know the standard, since I dont know it in Liters.
Hahahah JK, thats just over redlinining very often. However I do 90%city driving, so my average varies from 16 to 19 Last edited by MonacoBimm; 05-02-2007 at 09:46 PM.. |

Should have bought a Prius if you cared about MPG that much. My brother-in-law drives one, if you accelerate slowly, you can drive around the city without gas engine turning on, tested by myself.

Keep in mind OP is in the UK.

I'm a sucker for "what's your MPG?" threads because I track mine, both what the computer says and actual. I get ~18mpg city and ~28-30mpg highway. Combined, I'm ~21mpg with not a lot of highway driving. I'm happy with that.

If the OP is getting 18 miles per Imperial gallon, wouldn't that be equal to ~15 miles per US gallon?
