Finally going to order!!
Well after all the hassle and lease rule changes etc i am ready to order - putting in the order on friday.
i would like to thank all contributer's not only to my last posts but to all posts who have helped me to the descision. The Car: 320D M Sport Payable extras: le mans Blue (beat the wife in pontoon to decide - she wanted titanium silver) 18" M Star spoke 193's Black Leather Dakota Heated Seats Comfort Access (I'm sure they positioned the slot on purpose!!) Bluetooth Exterior Mirror Pack Front & Rear PDC Individual sun protection rain Sensor & auto lights MODS after: (assuming can get away with lease co. not knowing and can be mod's back to orig state!!) Blacklines OEM spoiler ReMAP (after run in) gutted! Prof sat nav and Bi-xenons - too much money other things came first Anyway I am really looking forward to the tantalising wait - I must wait until Aug 3rd due to existing lease but ordered now so no delay. So thanks again and look forward to bringing it to some meets |

If he's getting blacklines, it must be an E90

I thought "rain Sensor & auto lights" was standard ?
Too bad on the prof nav, presumably it was because you wanted some of those options more as by the time you add some of them up you could've got nav instead?

Nav is really expensive prob cost more than all his other options put together! It is nice though

I haven't fitted any myself, but other posts seem to suggest that it is a simple process that does not take long

Nice spec.
Some dealers will fit the Blacklines for free. Removing a spoiler later might be difficult. They are attached by adhesive pads but are supposed to be vandal proof and able to withstand high speeds. If you've not had xenons before you won't miss them. They will allways be near the top of my list though. Regards Chris

I've never had Xenons before so this will be a first for me. I like the way they look, but why else (if there are other reasons) are they high up your list? bob> Sorry, didn't realise that about the 6 vs 4 cylinder - didn't mean anything by it!

So the road ahead at night is clearer? Do you find yourself getting flashed lots by oncoming traffic as a result? A stealer once made out that I wasn't losing out by not having Xenons (on a car he was trying to sell me, of course) for that reason (i.e. get flashed a lot)

Once you've had Xenon you won't want to go back.
Even on dipped beam they throw out more light, it's wider and whiter than halogens. On main beam the amount of light is amazing, having flashed a colleague once with full xenon when he was passing the comment the next day was "What the f&*^ have you got on the front of your car, a pair of searchlights?" You'll probably find yourself dipping the headlights a few times because you think there is another car coming, but really it is your headlights lighting the road that brightly that far ahead.
