TPMS question.
So, I just removed my stock wheels and put my aftermarket wheels back on, but the thing is, there's no tpms on my aftermarket wheels. should I just remove the tpms from my stock wheels or get a new tpms sensors, and how much is approximately to install and to get a new tpms sensors, thanks guys

but you can also reuse the old sensors but have to replace some rubber valve though, which tire installer would know about, swapping them should be free as as long as you pay for tire installation

BMW actually got another system which will detect the flat tire when your wheels are spinning at different speed.
I still got the tire pressure warning on my nav. screen when I got a flat tire couple years ago even though I'm running w/o TPMS.

Interesting, I though this system was on 2006 models by itself. And 2007-2009 had a pressure 4 wheel compare logic.
I wonder how low can the tire go to be detected by speed rotation. Run flat tires tend to retain their shape longer until the air pressure completely gone.

it's rather annoying to see the tpm sensor warning on nav than actual warning lights on speedo, if you have nav, that is... if you don't have nav, i would just drive it without it.
eitherway, you are looking at significant amount of money for just turning the light off. 1) to re-use stock tpms, you need to dismount tires from both stock set and new set, put it on new set and mount everything back on that's dismount/mount/balance 8 wheels. 2) to buy aftermarket or get used one from somewhere to mount on new set, you need to do dismount/mount/balance 4 wheels + cost of tpms. if you have chip on it, try to see if you can turn the warning light off through ecu. it's just warning light...
