E93 Alarm DIY anyone ?

Has anyone done the Alarm install in an E93 ?

I understand it requires a different alarm than the E92, new P/N 65730427835 which adds a motion sensor in addition the glass breakage sensor.

i was wondering how they did the alarm in the vert, since in the coupe and sedan it has a motion sensor.

and FYI, your better off finding a dealership to do it for 400 parts and labor. it is way too much of a headache to install it yourself! i tried it on my E90, then when i got the E92, i just paid the money, much easier. there is a lot of programming that has to be done, and its not worth it.

I had them throw it in as part of the deal. I forgot to do this on my 330 cic 3 years ago but remembered this time on the E93.

I am paying the money for the dealer install but the whole thing is ridiculous. It should be included in the price. Most cars beep when you lock them so you don't have to turn around and look. BMW only beeps if you pay an extra $400. Robbery.

The clown nose that blinks usually makes dumbasses/jackers stay away from the car.

I had one experience when I was standing 5 feet away from my car. This one guy and his girl walks by it and says "damn this f*cken cars been here forever*, then proceeds to take out his keys. His girl (the smart one) says, "yeah, and what...have the alarm go off???"

The red light indicates that an alarm is active on the car...so it actually is a plus to having it on the car. Plus you can hardwire a shock sensor in for only 10 bucks.

ALARM FTW!
