Suit people: where's a good place to shop for a new jacket other than MW? Have an interview next friday and I want to shop around for a new one.

Depends on the industry. I wear nice jeans and a polo or button down shirt to work everyday.

Hey Gary- Your a young strapping gent with a long torso
Most the labels at Jos Banks etc will be big n boxy on you, so try to find a suit cut for a younger physique, Boss Jam (Nordstrom) has a nice Navy Blazer with side vents and ticket pockets, in a year round wool that you can use for anything from nice denim to a solid charcoal wool dress pant. But, usually a business interview should be in a suit, not a Sport Coat, depending on industry of course. But, you may be able to first look at Nordstrom Rack, and even Marshalls, for last years/seasons at 50% off or more. If your near outlets up there by Six Flags, Off 5th is SFA and Neiman Marcus has a outlet too, check there. ZZegna, Varvatos and Emporio Armani are all $1200 suits retail but can be had $400 ish in outlets. There is also is a off price retialer called Morris & Sons, he gets designer close outs and mainly business suit attire. What size are you, a 40 Long? Its tough to find that size, 42 Long is more common. If you want a nice cut in a okay fabric, consider even H & M (Woodfield/Mich Ave) or Zara too, try to go to a retailer that caters to a under 30 crowd...not a old business man.. if you are a 44 chest and a 32 pant, you will have trouble. as most 42 suits come with a 36 pant, a 40 suit with a 34 pant, (6 inch drop), Boss Jam is 7" inch drop I think. I actually saw some decent suits, mix n match jacket/pants sizes at Target, made in Vietnam, which actually is known for its tailoring in Hoi An area, find a nice wool suit for $199 if you dont wear one often, or even wear it, get a false hem in pant, and then take out hem and return the suit, Target wont know the diff, if you just wear it for 2 hours. Call me or you got my email, I can meet you if you want. Last edited by RaceBlood; 04-28-2011 at 08:55 AM.. |

Tried changing out the rear brake pads on my beater last night, epic failure. Damn caliper piston tool is completely stuck in the caliper. Any ideas?

Oh I did, think its toast. Took the whole caliper off with the tool stuck in it. Hammered it, pried it, beat it on the ground, used a breaker bar, won't budge. Already ordered a new caliper but would still like to get the tool off so I can return it and there is also a core charge on the new caliper.
