Tell them that we are negotiating with other hotels in the area so require their best possible price. I would think a 15% discount is reasonable in these troubled times.

Yeah, it's 200 miles or so each way from the York area. I irregularly go down to Suffolk from here and it takes me over three and a half hours if I make any stops. But I also try to avoid the boys in blue so I do keep it tame.

Right found hotel. Good price and with also a discount hopefully coming our way, plenty of parking but is on the outskirts of town, its that much cheaper and as Paulie says taxi between lots of us will be cheap enough. Upfront payment is needed for hotel as far as i know, although she did say it could be just a down payment which is non refundable.
