Wink UK4: B&B booked!

OK- after 2 days of trying to find somewhere in Ashbourne, which has enough rooms for all of us,
I've found the Green Man Royal Hotel in the centre of Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Cost: £40 single inc full English breakfast

Just one thing- there is a disco in the largest function room till 2am on Sunday mornings, so we can either 'indulge' in it or use earplugs!

There are a few restaurants within walking distance, including an Indian!
The pub menu is here.

I've booked the following:

1 twin room (for me & whoever comes with me- Richard the videoer, my brother or my wife! ) &

4 singles- for Paul (beauforty), Matt (mjh93sa), SJ (Serjames) & Peter (peterg1965)- you'd better now come, ok Pete!

I need to know if E92fan wants a room or not & also anyone else who is coming, but hasn't actually said so.
Please let me know as soon as possible, if anyone else needs a room.

I won't be able to change the booking after Sat Sept 15th.

If you do not let me know, either by PMing me, posting on this thread or stating specifically that you need a room on the meets calendar, then I won't be able to help you, ok.

As you can see, I can't stand people taking time to decide where they want to stay for meets, so I tend to make 'forced' decisions, whatever anyone thinks!

All the best.

Oh Pete!

Your wife hasn't been reading more threads, to help her decide if she's happy to let you go, has she?!

Thanks for letting me know.

My wife is fully supportive of my BMW passion (I wish) However, her work shifts slaving for the NHS, mean that I can't stay overnight. She still reads these threads (at least my contributions) and thinks I need to be 'certified'.

I will probably be bringing my oldest son with me on the 22nd though.

No problem, Pete.

I'm looking forward to seeing your LMB coupe, oh, and meeting you, of course!

I hope your son has a great time & teaches Carslosh a thing or two!

Top job Viv!

Just been out test driving a potential wider lens for the camera. Pics to follow.

Sorry you can't stop Peter. I know all about the NHS and their shift patterns. It's fun when the ward calls my sister at 0600 to see if she can cover an early shift.

No problem Matt.

Richard can't make the meet, so I'll try to find someone else to do some videoing.

We should have some great shots, as long as you & Steve do make it.

I'm looking forward to putting a face to the forum names.

I have a 12-24 Sigma zoom which should be wide enough ...well it is on my full frame bodies.

If the average age of the local women is over 60, it's right up his street!

Thanks Matt.

I've been playing with Google Maps & thought we could sort out a route, not that I ever stick to it!

Have a look at the sort of thing you can do, here- route to Staunton Harold Reservoir.
