Need help with Auto request reset
I had no problem resetting the service items, thanks to this thread, but I have one thing still causing a service light. It is showing under Idrive Service requirements, Auto request. It reads; "Data transmission fault"], "No service request received". Can anyone tell me how to clear this fault?

I have a strange scenario. I was programming my car today and upon completion it says that my car is over due for oil change. Which isnt the case since its not due til next year. Not sure what this happened but I was only coding the CIC nothing else. I factory defaulted the cic.
Anyway I can reset the service light but it will be wrong. Im mid schedule. Is there anyway to code it to specific value? As far as time and mileage goes? |

Thanks for saving me a trip to the BMW dealer.
My rear brake pad lights came on along with this car on lift symbol. I double checked both my rear brake pads with my flash light and they still have a lot left. This is still a good thread after all these years.

Hi, I have just changed my rear brakes and have used this process to reset my service lights in the past. However, I still have the red car lift symbol and a yellow rear brake symbol with lots of dashes underneath like this ---------- when I try and reset it.
The sensor had a small chip on it when I replaced the pads. Could it be that? Any help appreciated |
