If it's post Sep 2008, then it's Hard Drive based (for Professional - not sure about Business). You can find the version thru iDrive. There's also 2 versions, Business or Professional. You can verify by the size of the screen (6.5" for Biz, 8.8" widescreen for Pro). Last edited by bcoz; 07-01-2011 at 11:07 AM.. |

Well i for one will be spanked silly before I pay $500 for a $20 cd. now i think of it i could pay the 500 and get a silly spanking |

+1 I'm still using the Professional Navigation V13 for our X5, does anyone in Sydney has a newer version? If not, does anyone know where I could buy a copy without getting raped by the dealer?

unfortunately no school zones etc..it tells you the nearest fuel servos though. not sure whether this is the latest one, but i'm happy with it as it doesn't cost $$$.

The business one from the site are 2009 with a lot of roads missing or shown as to be constructed. Still an improvement from V13 especially considering it didn't cost. I also experienced a slight lag of approx 2-3 seconds when selecting address information, but otherwise once address is keyed in works fine.

Moral behind the story. Do not rely on in-car navigation. Once the car is more than 5 years old...maps are outdated and manufacturers will not bother about outdated models. Get a Garmin!!

Was wondering if the software for the new lci models with the hard disk navigation can be burned onto a dvd/cd-r. This would be one way to update our maps if it's possible at all. Hmm.. |
