Same happened to mine, also noticed the AC compressor had a small whine and was taking a bit to cool down the car. Huge improvement after the shop did a full evac and fill!

Did a no drill mount

Just got a new bumper on and painted and didn't want to start putting holes in it. Live in a state that requires a front plate. Made a few mounting strips that the plate screws into. Used exterior double-sided tape to mount. They're available to download if anybody is interested...

This is great!

For myself, I detailed the car and had to do some water spot removal on the passenger side from the neighbor's sprinkler. Used Chem Guys product and it works sooo well. I needed to wax that part after the removal, so ended up doing the whole car.

Next up was oil filter change (I change the filter @ 5k, in the middle of 10k oil changes). NBD with that, but noticed the PS reservoir was starting to show some fluid.

It could be weeping from the overfill/pressure hole, but took a chance and changed the O-ring for fun and I have a bunch of them. Yep, the Rein one is only 2.5 years old, but starting to get ovalized. Hopefully this addresses that!

Cleaned the interior including the inside of the inside of the windshield. Night vision is noticeably better now with less glare.

Also, replaced the bulb in the angel eye lights with the ba9s replacement instead of the whole bulb housing.

Lastly, topped off oil and coolant.

Took the MCAT! Which entailed at 300 mi round trip journey. E90 performed flawlessly, and returned excellent mileage…

Unfortunately, it looks like the traffic information service for the CIC has been turned off in Georgia. Mr12Volt, here I come (though I will miss the built-in nav, I really like the layout!).

My rear bumper cover has been cracked since early winter, and I finally dropped her off for a replacement. I'm going to do a paint correction once it's cured, and I'm considering a ceramic treatment.

Replaced my sunroof cassette...it decided to eat itself going into the vent position, right before a bunch of rainy days of course. Upside, if you want to call it that, I took the "opportunity" to reglue/reupholster the headliner and pillar trims that were starting to look a bit shabby.

After all that, put the summer wheels and tires on, popped the sunroof and went for a rip around some backroads. Now I just need to wash all the bugs off, lol.

Wow that is super minimalist, prefer that to the tow hook mounts.
I went with exterior 3M double sided foam with the OEM North American front plate mount. There is two hooks on the plate mount which centres it nicely into the bumper.

Nice, previous owner put some cheap glass on my car and I bought the OEM stuff back in December. I still need to get it installed.

Did you get it done by Safelite or someone else?

Virginized the donor CIC, been trying to change the VIN of the new one so that I can load the new FSC certificates. Of course Tool32 is not cooperating (loads to a blank screen after selecting CICR.prg), so I’ve wiped a spare HP laptop to see if it’s something with my Windows 7 install (and I remember now why I avoid Windows like the plague…)

Once I have a process that works, I’ll do a little write-up.

drivers are often the issue. need few reboot and update.
or even manual install.

Can you explain why the VIN need to be changed?
I did swap a lot of item, different VIN, and the car runs fine, I can flash it, and use INPA, ISTA, no issue.

Yes on a full scan it report mismatch VINs, but no issues.

What’s odd is that my diagnostic machine loads INPA/ISTA/NCSExpert totally fine.

Tool32 loads the prg, but clicking it it returns an “invalid argument” error.

Little things. Had my computers out helping someone with a e39 correctly config their Kombi so I decided to also do a little coding on e91 Sunday, when I bought it had only bixenons for high beam and also for flash to pass, so FTP didn’t work with headlights off. Originally changed it to inner FTP, so they’d work with headlights off and later did the amber Hella bulbs so they were more visible in daylight… frankly sunlight is so bright out here in the cloudless desert you can’t tell if someone’s headlights are on/flashing to you or it is just the sun’s reflection in the housing.

So on Sunday I finally found out how to change it to be inners for flash to pass but have both inner and the bixenons for high beam which adds more light instead of just more height on hi beam.

Also changed the Adaptive/auto “A” led to only be on when headlights are actually on, which I prefer.

Neat idea on the hella bulbs Onizukachan. I'm going to copy you after I rebuild mine. Do you by chance have the part # you used?

Things I've done recently-
Saturday:
Got blue car back. Person who was using it didn't clean it once, trash and dirt everywhere. Oil was a quart low. I was appalled 😳. Washed it & did a "quick" interior detail for an hour.

Sunday: went on an amazing mountain run. I had the whole road to myself, really got to put it through its paces (safely)

Today: got sick of seeing the muffler from behind the car. Used BBQ flat black paint as a base and topped off with heat resistant satin black. Soo much better. Just needs exhaust tips

Got em off Amazon.

HELLA H7 YL Xtreme Yellow Bulb (12V 55W), 2 Pack For about $24.

Head up, they are either super easy or a Big Bitch to install, you can use a mirror and long pick tools (not a Phillips, that was my mistake) but if you press the retainers too hard then you will wind up taking the bumper off to take the headlights out to be able to bend/reshape them back.

One side only took me 10-15 minutes, the other 8+ hours because of pushing ot hard and tweaking the retainer tab and having take it all off, and rebend it back into position.
FYI, You do them from the engine bay, not fender liners, unlike all the videos say.

I also did the high temp black on rear of sons r53 JCW’s mufflers because those big SS cans hang over an inch below the bumper. It actually worked fine, no peeling or anything

Onizukachan 'precciate it. And tell me about it. I tried stuffing S V.4s in my 330's set of headlights. Worst idea ever. Many hours of dremeling, cutting, and placing the converter box later, I got it. Never again.

Nice! Curious to see if mine peels. Prep was lazy. Not concerned though, its not a glamour piece, I'll touch up when I have to lol

I gave my E91 some new e90 sport seats from a car that was being parted out. I really like these better than the stock flat buckets.
