I have OEM 17" wheels (not sure which kind, but can find out if interested). Wheels are in decent condition except one was bent from a pothole and repaired at a shop. I also have 3 oem run flat tires on them and the other wheel has a flat on it.

First one who commits gets them.
FYI- I only have two 15mm spacers but I have four 12mm spacers.

Sharpe BMW has done work on my car and I've always had good service there. Only con is the price but that comes with the territory with the dealer. I know someone who works on BMW's on the side out in Holland as well. PM me for contact info. |

Did my first track day at Grattan this past Sunday. Had a blast other than my car going into limp mode on me
First session with instructor went fine. After that I started pushing it and second session last lap it went into limp mode again. No codes from OBD2 generic scanner, turn it off back on and error is gone. Going to try and get my dcann cable from ebay and the bimmer software setup on my laptop to see if I can determine what caused it. Happened again on the way home when I jammed it down to try and recreate but hasn't happened since. 2008 335xi no engine lights. |

I think I'm going to look in the Carly app so I can do some logging. In the meantime though I managed to setup the bimmer software and pulled the codes. Here's what I got:
Error Codes Present On Saturday, July 25, 2015 11:36:47 AM Code,Type,Description DME,DME Number: 07611397 29D2,2,Combustion misfires, cylinder 6 2A17,4,DMTL, system fault 30FE,8,Unknown 3100,8,Unknown 30FF,8,Unknown 29E1,8,Mixture control 2 Once I reset the codes and scanned again, no codes. Does anyone know a good local shop that could diagnose a track related limp mode issue? It only seems to happen when at the track or when the car is being driven hard for extended periods of time. I've only had it for about a year but I'm thinking I need a place that can pull the old service records to see what all has been changed within the last 5 years. I'm wondering if coils / plugs / hpfp / injectors were ever replaced. I know turbos were replaced at 75k. I know Sharpe BMW would probably be my best bet but that's going to be costly. Can Indy shops pulls old service information or is that BMW dealer specific? |
