yema has some post WW2 heritage but is now basically a seiko-owned mash-up of classic retro designs and seiko movements. they are building some dedicated in-house movements and *could* be something really cool in 10-20 years.

i like their designs a lot...especially for watches under a grand. quality is very good.

So far I'm loving it. It's my first Apple Watch as I always thought they weren't for me, but it's nice being able to leave my iPhone behind much of the time, especially with the $10 cellular plan.

I wouldn't want it any bigger, but also not any smaller. I even sleep with it on and the one-touch button on the left assigned to the flashlight is great for going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. lol

It has lots of useful data at a glance, or just a click away, with lots of interesting faces. That BMW face was just for the picture, I never use it.

I ordered it on-line from one of their stores (Kavar Jewellers in St. Catherines On.) and had it shipped to me.

Could it be Canada vs USA market then? On the right side of the Made in Japan mine says 4R34-00A2-R5 3. I had to really zoom to read it. 4R34 is the movement, so I think other than the label, they are identical watches.

So after doing a bit of research I found out that yours is made in Japan and mine is made in Malaysia. That's why yours says made in Japan on it.
