Some 18" wheels will fit but I don't know which ones. With any 18" wheel, the barrel with be close to the caliper. If the spoke shape is wrong they won't clear the caliper. You will need to test fit.

style260m is tight even with stock 335i brakes that are 345mm. the issue is with the barrel design. the step takes too much space. I be very surprised if the fit. to my knowledge no 18" wheel from the e9x platform clears the 370mm f30 brakes. but like you said he can test fit.

Feuer...
I have a 325d E91 touring, and I could use some help. I currently have the full 135i brake kit on my car (6 piston fronts w/ 338x26mm disc and 2 piston rears w/ 324x22mm disc) This is a direct bolt on, with no modification needed. I am thinking I would like to remove the 6 piston fronts, and replace with the 4 piston caliper and 370mm disc (to fill my 19" alloys better, and I prefer the look) I will leave the E8x 135i rear brakes in place. I know a guy here in the UK who has fitted the 4 pot / 370mm fronts to his car, and he told me that his brake pedal feels the same as stock. My main concern is a soft brake pedal (it feels fine at present with the 6 piston fronts and 2 piston rears) but I don't want to be unhappy once the work is completed! |

When you upgrade front 4 piston and rear 2 piston from f30 the bais get thrown off as well as the pedal feel. If you are going to replace just the front I will not anticipate soft pedal because the rear 135i are made to replace your stock caliper. Additionally, the pedal feel will depend from the disc and pad choices. Go ahead, proceed with the swap. You will be happy. |

The other option I am considering is to remove the full 135i brake kit (6 piston / 2 piston) and replace with: FRONT: F3x 4 piston caliper & 370mm discs REAR: Stock single piston caliper with 336x22mm discs That way, more of the front and rear wheels will be filled with more disc! I would obviously send my stock rear calipers off for a full rebuild and powder coat to the same blue as the Brembo's. I'd also fit new pads / discs for the rear too. Thoughts? |

Nothing, as thats the standard rear set up for my car (E91 325d) so the parking brake will work as normal. It also works as normal with the current 2 piston Brembo's and 324x22mm discs from the 135i.
I think the single piston / 336x22mm stock rears would probably give the larger 4 piston calipers the best chance of having a decent pedal feel? Also, would it give better bias by going back to the larger rear set up? |

Also, should I order the front calipers (they will blue) I would need the paint code, so I could match my rears - does anyone have it?

You car is e91 so is possible to have large parking brake kit from factory. Single with 336mm will yield same or similar pedal feel with 2 piston 324mm You can alter the bias with different pads. Don't worry much. |

I didnt' have to change any brake shoes parts between these stock discs and the new discs for the 2 piston 135i Brembo's. The other option is to leave the 135i rear Brembo's in place and have the new 4 piston caliper refinished in the same grey paint. I quite like the idea of swapping back to a larger rear disc though. |

I caved in and bought a set of the 4 piston calipers that accept the 370mm disc. They're a delivery mileage set, so the pads are as new.
Has anyone used an aftermarket disc for these calipers, or is the general consensus just to fit the OEM M Performance 370 dimpled / slotted version? Also, what about backing plates - do I need to order F3x specific? Apologies if this has been covered, but did a quick skim and couldnt see anything? |

I will, here is my car as it stands. The brakes will look so much better behind the BBS.
So, to further my understanding the BMW disc options are: OEM Blank M Sport 370x30mm part no: 34106797606 Optional M Performance dimpled / slotted 370x30mm part no: 34106797603 Is that correct? Do you happen to have the part no for the correct pad sensor? Also, how about the protection plates, as there are two parts listed? |

Oh wow! Your car is beautiful.
Correct, M Sport are also 370mm. They use the M Sport for the appearance package and the brakes so is confusing. M Sport 370mm:34106797606 Sensor:34356789440 Left shield:34116792237 Right shield:34116792238 First photo is from old style sensor that you don't want. Second fits. |

Thanks! I've got it looking pretty decent at the moment, just a few plans left!
As for the brakes my 135i calipers use those larger L sensor brackets, so I should be fine on that front! May need a smaller one when I put the stock rear back on! Which disc would you suggest? I'm thinking plain fronts to match the rears? |

Just called my local dealer and the parts department are telling me that the plain faced disc is £50 more expensive per disc than the dimpled / slotted!!
How is that possible?! |
