FAUST is making a stop in Southhampton U.K. today, that fact that U.K. time is 5-6 hours ahead of us EST, probably means it has already left and headed for Canada. If it has not left yet, it will shortly. Yesterday at this time of day it left Belgium. This Ship was originally scheduled to leave Germany on 7/12. It left on 7/13, but it has already made up the 1 day delay and its right back on original schedule to hit NY on 7/26. I said it before, but this ship can really boogie.

All east coast cars get unloaded at either NY or Charleston. Any stops your ship makes before that are for other cargo. I'm at port waiting to catch a ship as well....had a build finish date of 7/11.

Only cars bound for Canada get dropped off in Halifax.

Boston bound cars get dropped off in NY.

BMW only has 2 VPC's on the east coast; NY and SC, so they try to direct cars to go to the VPC nearest the final destination to minimize trucking expenses. Distance from VPC doesn't always hold true, I've read that ohio cars go through SC even though NY is closer, but I'd guess that certain truck routes are less costly even though they may be longer distances. Maybe they go by rail too which may be cheaper.

I think that while you are waiting, you should concentrate on how you are going to mod the car within the first few weeks, TRUST me; I know, I had a 328XI on order just 5 months ago. Now I am waiting for my 335.

The most essential things that need to be done right away are, chrome exhaust tips, then tints, then change your angel eyes. From then on you are on your own with wheels, aero lip, anything else that you may think of.

You might be a tad too optimistic. Let's say it finishes on the 24th and gets to the port on the 26th. It seems that cars can sit there at the port for a few days, sometimes a week or a tad more. So your car may not leave port until the beginning of August. It takes 24 days to travel by ship to California. Then you have to wait another week or two to get it through customs, VPC, and finally your dealer.

If you're lucky you'll have it by the end of August. But who knows...

IMO, just assume that it'll come late august/early september. IF it does get to you before that, lucky you!! but looks like it won't be later than first week of september. so at least you won't be sad b/c you were expecting it 3rd week of august but got it 2 weeks later.

AHHHH I hope it gets here end of august, Im actully going up to Vegas for Labor day and I have no problem breaking in my car with a nice drive up to vegas. Ill cross my fingers and pray to the turbo gods as the turbo boost has already entred my blood stream........

my cars production is supposed to be complete the 23rd. im east coast (jersey) .. if 24 days to ship to west coast how long to east coast? should i definitely be expecting my car by the end of august? .. that was my original goal

I'm in Canada so we can't track everything like our neighbors to the south. If my car was being produced week 28, is there any way to know when it might ship and on what vessel other than calling my SA? It's a 328i if that matters.

My completion date is supposed to be the 23rd also. If you look at the W&W shipping website, they have ship schedules. East coast trips usually take between 11 to 14 days. But you'll have to factor in how many days it takes to get on board a ship (some people on this board have waited more than a week), how many days it sits at the VPC in Jersey, and how many days it takes for your dealer to receive/prep the car. If we're extremely lucky we can get on the boat that departs Bremerhaven on the 27th.

HMM for all of us waiting at port the next ship leaving on the 20th called UNDINE, Which was actually lengthened in '05 to a little bigger then 2 football fields..it holds around 7,100!!! Vehicles...probally all wont be BMW's but still thats a shitload...So i hope most of us make it on this one, OR THE NEXT ONE LEAVING on the 23rd....

Hi all. What an incredibly informative forum.....My 328xi completed production on 7/12 and I also am hoping to to catch the UNDINE. Of course I've already called the 800 number and it's only 1 PM Germany time here.

Mine was completed on the 11th as well. No shipping information so far, but my CA is very slow to respond to info requests and the shippers tracking site does not update for several days after the ship sails. If you find out what ship you're on please let me know! Thanks.
