i had the V1 but sold it wasnt really worth it unless the cop was shootin the radargun

yeah true that. Exactly what I pointed out in my post above yours. It just keeps me on alert...but it sucks though, because nothing would show up on the road.

As for jammers, what if the cop doesn't get the signal out of you but knows your speeding by comparing you with the other cars. And if you do get pulled over, you can't really ask to see his radar gun, because then he'll know something is up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Jammers are illegal right? So, if he see's it it'll be worst than just a ticket?

18LLC and 1001 have Valentine 1's. they seem to work great. i remember i was driving back with 1001 from santa cruz and he drives like a maniac. i figured i'd follow him so i can drive fast and not get caught since had V1. the only time he slowed down, we saw someone get pulled over

You are correct. If an officer finds out what you really have, the punishment can be more severe. However, according to a friend of mine (a CHP officer) (and this is just what I heard), their gun will read a jammed signal frequently during a speed trap, and will usually let them go.

valentine 1 is like a early warnin system (ept)? if someone is gettin shot in front of you, you know to slow down

or

do what i do, go fast with a partner car on the freeway, make sure that guy stays in front of you, not by much i guess so you can still do your 80/85mph, and then when you get hit, let off, and bam, he's bait, and the cop will never know you were the one speedin as well!

i was always scared about getting pulled over with a radar detector i know it's not illegal but it doesn't look good. and if u take it down they might see u doing it or the telephone wire is a sure sign

i also have v and barely use it. if cops wanna catch speeders, they use lasers. those who don't use lasers are really easy to spot by eye anyway (if you're careful). and there are no radar detectors that could protect you against laser

same here. i always think what i would do if i got pulled over, take it down or not. i know they aren't stupid (for the most part) and will see you taking it down. i guess i'd take it down anyway.
