Im just running around now like a lunatic trying to get the sub taken off my car so I can place it in the new one. Definately not leaving my custom fiberglass box in. Does anyone know if the trunk is the same dimensions on the coupe? I wonder if it will fit?

Oh my god guys - I'm sorry for not taking pics of my car sooner! I've really been busy just driving it everywhere.
I'll post some pics of the (now dirty) car tonight, I promise. I can't believe all of us have not picked up our cars by now! |

Back to feeling sick, my CA says the car has cleared VPC, and basically is just sitting there. Its set to be released to the carrier on the 28th, and arrive at the dealer on the 31st. WTF
He said it could be sooner because its an estimate, but damn, way to ruin my Christmas. My sales guy mentioned it has to clear customs, I thought it was the other way around, cars clear customs first, then go to VPC. |

I wonder if my car is in the same thing. I hope not because im going on vacation the 29th and that would suck if the car sat at the dealer until the 6th. Just out of curiosity are you getting the other white car? What color is yours? |

Here's the "It Could Be Worse" scenario for you guys: my car was on the boat and in the same batch as yours. I have a Performance Center Delivery date now . . . January 25. That's 2008, I guess. If that doesn't work for me, they can do later.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to thank you for entertaining and informing me over the last couple of weeks while I was waiting for my car, it was on the Integrity and I picked it up from the dealer in RI yesterday. Wanted to return the favor and be the first to post a picture. |

Hey Guys, been off line because I've been driving my new car! Here's a little photo montage and overview of an exciting day! (Pics are 800 px wide - hopefully this doesn't wreck the page for anyone.)
Waiting at the Bay Street Train Station in Montclair, NJ with my wife. Hitching a ride out to NYC. In Grand Central hunting down the Metro North train to Mamaroneck, NY. The key hand over! Nice keychains, but removed them because they're heavy as all hell. Taking delivery from my CA, Gunn Park at Pace BMW. Awesome to work with and a great deal to boot. Obligatory car shots: Post Delivery Celebration: Espresso and molten chocolate cake prior to the ride home. Such a wonderful feeling. I've owned Lexus/Toyota all my life, but after less than 1 day of BMW ownership, I can say that I now understand what it's all about! One sidenote -- I opted for the BMW Hazard/Tire Insurance for $600. I've been hearing that the 18 inch RFTs are really susceptible to bubbling and that any sort of puncture damage is unlikely to be repaired by BMW. Given the high price of RFTs and tons of potholes in and around the NYC area, this seemed like a little piece of mind. Hang in there guys -- your cars will be in your hands soon enough!

It ran $599 for 4 years and covers replacement of tires due to any damage caused by road debris, nails, potholes, etc. It also covers repair or replacement of rims damaged by the same. There is a coverage limit of $6,000 per year. This shouldn't be a problem as I can't imagine generating $6k of damage per year on my tires/rims! The best bet is to contact your CA as the coverage packages they've chosen may be different. If you don't ask your CA, the finance guy will most likely pitch it while you're signing your soul away with all the paperwork.
