how long of a drive are you looking for? the one i suggested is like a 2 hour drive through the canyon up and down. Otherwise we can plan a longer one through one of the other canyons that is longer or connects to all the mountain roads.

Does anyone have experience with replacing the oil pan gasket? I don't feel like spending near $700 at an indy so I want to give my best shot at doing it myself.

anybody know a good local detailer? There are tons of shops around, but I'd rather give the money to an enthusiast that knows what they're doing and cares about these cars

If this wildfire is indeed a case of arson like the news said, I hope whoever did so rots in hell for burning innocent people's houses down... Also for dirtying my car after I washed it yesterday. But at the same time, the only optimistic way of looking at it is that we have bizarre snow flurries amidst hot weather here in Southern California LOL

i feel like they should know better. i'm not even from socal but i know shit can get out of hand. plus there's been warnings every day on the news about properly putting out cigarettes even. what's the line of thought here... "hey, there's a drought and it's dryer than ever, lets go out and start a fire in a remote location!" idiots.

definitely idiots, I think ~20 years old or so. one was a vagrant.
somebody posted a facebook link to one of the guys, and there's a status update from last night saying they were going out hunting mountain lions, apparently people camp out there frequently even though it isn't allowed. |
