Don't know about stock but I haven't been able to do better than a 12.95... I'll probably break something if I keep trying haha.

A 12.95 for 500+whtq is depressing! I can't wait to get back to Colorado but I'm not ready for the power loss coming from sea level. Some people say the n54 doesn't lose power with altitude because it raises boost to compensate for the thinner air. However, stock 1/4 mile times are closer to 14s flat at 6,000 ft compared to 13.4-13.6 at sea level indicating at least some degree of power loss.

Who is going to the Castle Rock Meet this Sunday?
Sunday 7/13 at 11:00am Castle Rock Fairgrounds Meet up, see BMW's and BMW enthusiasts for a great weekend gathering in Castle Rock, CO. For any confusion this isn't the actual D4C event or caravan, this is simply just a pre-bash to get everyone hyped up for the event August 1st. This is simply a "Pre Bash" of the upcoming D4C event on August 1st. General gathering-- any and all BMW's welcome! www.drive4corners.com

That will be the same time that the World Cup Final starts. Need to find a decent sports bar to watch somewhere around there. The only one that comes to mind is Rockyard up by the Outlets.

Union American Bistro has a bar, and really awesome food, and is just up the street.
EDIT: NM, closed Sundays.... |

Hideaway Bar and Grill will probably have the game on. It's only a few minutes away from the meet. I'd offer my house, but I can't fit everyone!

"Full fledged member"
Making my first post to become a "full fledged member"..
I've been in CO Springs since mid-2012, stationed at the AF Academy. I recently picked up a '10 335i xdrive sedan w/ 6MT. I'm looking at getting a JB4 and BMS DCI when I get back from my current deployment. Any recommendations on install shops? Also, I'm looking at options for a ski/snowboard rack. I emailed the dealership and they only have a rack that will hold 2 snowboards + 2 pairs of skis (or 6 pairs of skis). Anyone have any recommendations for a 4 snowboard setup? And again, install shops? Thanks! |

Honestly, I bet there would be some people on here that could give you a hand installing the JB4 and DCI's, its like an hour job max for someone who has done it before.
Oh and welcome! |

Recently added a new BMW to our household to accompany our e30 M3 and 335is. This is replacing a Nissan Pathfinder recently obliterated in a hail storm. My daughter will be driving it - she found it on Craig's list and talked me into buying it. It's a 97 M3 sedan with 114k on it. Have since added a UUC exhaust and Hid Halogen ellipsoid headlights and have redone the cooling system.

Well I made it out to the track tonight. Ran a somewhat disappointing 14.1x on map 2 / 93 octane in 9000 DA. Only got one run in as the rain came and scared us away. I saw a 135 but doubt he had a chance to race, given the weather.
I'll post up the video tomorrow. I'm heading back out next Wednesday and going to run map7 with straight 100. Hoping for mid 13's, but we'll see. Anyone else planning to go next weds? |

The rain has been brutal this year at Bandimere on Wednesdays...from what I have heard it had rained just about every Wednesday there...I got rained out once, but was able to make it up the next week.
I want to go again but won't have a chance for a little while unfortunately. |

I brake stalled a bit, but the tree lit up pretty quickly and I was distracted by the mustang owner (I think he almost pushed threw his brakes at the line). On the way home I did a sport/manual 1 brake stall to about 3K rpm's and broke loose some tires (not sure which, but I imagine the rears), so I know I can stall it up more than I did. I'm going again on Wednesday, so we'll see what map 7 and 100 octane can do to help. Here's the vid:

I'm not sure what that was ... Here is a picture of it from behind and here is the slip...
It was a GT so he added at least one turbo. Sounds like a lot of spooling. |
