Oh the waiting...

I basically determined that my car, which also went to "in transit" on 1/18, has to be on the NYK's Hudson Leader because the only other ships that left @ that time are from WWL and their vastly superior website (vs. NYKs) says they don't have it. So that means we are on the Hudson Leader. The good news is that they are both scheduled into the west cost port @ the same time so no difference there. Here is a pic of my "ship of dream(s)". http://www.schiffsphoto.de/HTM/Car/HudsonLeader.htm Last edited by appledude; 01-21-2008 at 09:08 PM.. |

19" M3 wheels, Monaco blue ACS kit
Quote:
ACS kit looks great. I see 335i Msport guys sneaking a peek, especially at the F1 style rear diffuser. Go for the whole kit though, not just some bits. I have attached some before /after pics. Big question is the wheels. I don't like the ACS wheels. Check out the BBS ones in the attached pic. The M Sports I have look good with ACS kit. I would also like to fit 19" new M3 wheels.

Great! My coming ACS kit includes front apron & rear diffuser, side skirts and rear spoiler. I don't like the rear roof spoiler that much though so I skipped it this time. Called the vendor this morning, all parts arrived just except the front apron... hope can get them on shortly after Easter hoildays For the rims, I have got Prodrive 18". I personally like that very much. Pretty dark tone for my E90 now Below are two pics I posted here before.

Some people don't like the rear window spoiler. I like it a lot though. Should be nice when its finished.

Is Monaco flat Navy Blue or Deep Metallic blue
Not sure if this thread is still active on the Monaco Blue 3 series.
I had just purchased a 325xi a few days ago in Monaco Blue after seeing her under the dealers florescent lights, twilight and in direct sunlight. During the first few days after purchase. I thought the Monaco Blue looked deep metallic blue in bright sun light to a mysterious mirror like blue in subtle light, to almost black in other conditions. Then during a few days of cloudy weather, I didn't even recognize the car. It looked like murky FLAT Navy Blue with no life, no deep metallic look, very dull and dreary. I had wanted to take her back untill the sun returned and now I am doubt. This is my 3rd BMW as my last was an 2000 Est roil Blue M3 Convertible and then a 1997 Silver 328I before that. I traded in the M3 as part of the down payment for the 325xi I love everything about this car except the flat navy blue color that I hate. I would of never purchased a navy blue car and thought the Monaco blue was a midnight blue metallic color that could look black at times. I don't want this to be a long term love hate relationship and indecisive what to do. I am kind of being swayed the other way after reading through many of the favorable posts regarding this color. I see that many owners love this color, but do you really love her when she looks flat dull navy blue under cloudy lighting conditions The 325xi doesn't have the M3 handling or 150mph speed, but thats OK since the M3 was killing me in maintenance for the last 3 years. The Monaco blue is growing on me, but the next streak of many cloudy days is gonna be upsetting. Is there anyway to keep her blue looking blue metallic. |

A good opportunity to upgrade to M-TECH!!!
If there is anyone out there that has a very good condition Front Bumper in Monaco and was thinking about changing to M-Tech (or other) please PM me. I'll buy your OEM bumper...I would even consider purchasing your side skirts and rear if necessary and plausible (w/shipping and all).

Hey all...just picked up my monaco blue 328i on Friday. I really had color remorse after I ordered in late March, but am glad I stuck with the MB - it's really a fantastic color!
I was torn between AW, SG and either of the two blacks. I just came out of a black G35, so wanted something a bit different. I see a TON of AW's, SG's, black and TiAG's around Dallas. I wanted something a little more rare. I know it's going to be a PITA to keep clean. With a weekly hand wash and a mid-week wiping with a California duster, should look great most of the time. Love the terra interior too! Here's some pics:
