Hey guys I just dropped off my car to get the new amp put in and I was lucky enough to get a pretty good loaner this time. They gave me a 2011 335i MSport Convertible. I know some of you guys are going to be like when I say this but this car makes me miss my 335. The low end torque is something I really do miss and it is nice to hear the familiar sound of that exhaust. Also, this car is an automatic so it has the paddles and I have to say, the paddles are kind of a fun change of pace. I think eventually it would get old to me and I would miss my 6mt but still, its kinda fun for a loaner.
I know the engine and exhaust in my M3 sound amazing also, just in a different way. Im not saying I would necessarily choose a 335 over my M but if I had to make the move back to a 335, I wouldn't really be that upset about it. I will say this though, the handling on my car is WAY better; but that is to be expected when comparing a 335 E93 to a E92 M3. BTW, this car only has 500 miles on it and is loaded with options. Kind of unusual for a loaner.

Does Audi give you a loaner if you take your car in? That is a big reason I love BMW as stupid as it sounds. On the way to work today I passed a bunch of people in a Dodge Shuttle van and thought to myself, they dropped their car off and they got a ride in that, I dropped my car off and get to drive this. Life is good lol.

yeah, actually that was a question I had before I even signed on the dotted line. I have had two loaners thus far, an A4 and a Q5. The Q5 was actually pretty sharp and fun to drive with that massive sunroof that spans the length of the roof. I still don't like SUV's but it was pretty fun.
Some might ask why the heck the car was in the shop so early in its life, well once for an alignment that was slightly off. I think it still is. And another time for a TSB on my sport diff that had a leak. They were very quick both times and being they give me a loaner that is pretty nice I don't get mad at all. Heck, they said if I do the Stasis upgrades they will still give me a loaner. The only issue that I have is the fact I have to fill up the gas before I bring it back. Murray Motors is the bomb in this respect as they don't require you to fill up the tank. |

Thankfully Prestige is an Audi/Porsche only dealer so there are no Beetle's to be had for loaners... Phew
Seriously if they tried to give me one I'd either push back or just re-schedule. no way in heck would I be rollin in that car. |
