You can read the codes with the lite version (but it will only send an email with a crude 2 liner explanations, the in-app diagnostic has more text). You can also reset codes (clear errors), but I do not remember if with the lite version it is there.

Yes you can code bulb eror check. Have to check inactive for all the different lights in the tail. FRM braking lights voltage monitoring Turn signals rear voltage monitoring tail light voltage monitoring reversing lights voltage monitoring Wish I can code the LED on handles to turn on when gear is on reverse. So damn hard to park in pitch black. |

First, love the app and the ability to tweak things. I have a 2011 335d and it is working great with this device: VGate iCar iV350 on eBay
Going through it and recording all the possible settings, I ran across a few that showed "CodeStrings_Value_CurrentValue". It seems it is storing a non-standard value, but how did that happen and how do we figure out what the value is? In doing this I have created a spreadsheet with all the options, descriptions, possible settings for each option, and a column for what I have set mine to. I will post the spreadsheet shortly in case someone else might want to use it. |

Here is the spreadsheet I created. It has all the modules and options that I could access for my 2011 335d using the Wi-Fi adapter and BMWhat on an iPhone 6 Plus. Any options that were listed on the iVini-Apps.com site that didn't come up for me are at the bottom. Anything listed in "Default" is an educated guess assuming no one had messed with the car prior to me.
Feel free to use it and if you make updates for your vehicle, you might want to repost for others to be able to use. (OP - maybe put this in the first post since this thread is SO long). |

I downloaded the full app and bought the OBD wifi adapter off Amazon from ivini apps to use with my 2011 N55 335i sedan. It took like 5 minutes to establish a wifi connection to my iPhone 4s (is that normal?), then it said that the wifi connection was not strong enough for coding. It said coding would have to be done via USB, which is not available for iPhone. Been emailing with ivini apps but they are slow to respond and not very helpful so far. The N55 E90 is not on the list of cars to select, so I'm using automatic engine recognition. Should I change any of the settings? Any other suggestions? Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thanks, Robert P.S. nice spreadsheet, stresspuppy! Hopefully I'll be able to make use of it! |

I was hoping to be able to use this app for my 2006 E90 to read codes and program with my iPhone 5 but it's not possible.
I contacted BMWhat and they were nice to reply right away to let me know an iPhone wifi adapter version was in the works with a hope to be available in 3 months that can code my 2006. |

Can anyone help with this? I don't want to mess with it if there is something else driving it, but for some that have this I might want to change if I can figure out what value it is using.

Just tested this app, I turned off the side markers, set DRL to angel eyes, set the digital speedometer...it was a breeze using this app. Well worth the money.
Does anyone know if battery registration can be performed with this app? |

Yes but I think there is an extra fee for battery registration.

I can't find the option to code my angel eyes as my drl on my 2006 E90. It looks like my only options is to use the headlights.
I'm using the cable with android version. Any ideas? |

Angel eye brightness?
I came across this in the Coding Features of it. Anyone know anything about it and whether one can crank up the brightness of LED angel eyes even more than they are already? I'm running Lux V4's.
The coding features description says: FRM: Angel eyes brightness daytime running lights off very low low rather low medium rather high high very high BMWhat: Brightness of Angel Eyes (Corona rings) for daytime running lights. . . . As well, for my 5 series, I found the LMA version. What's that about? |

Well, I read 14 pages and realize this Android app will not do what I need.
I have a 2008 335i coupe, and I need to code an installed DSC module to the car. I replaced the original one (it malfunctioned) with a used but working one, and I need to code it to my car. I currently have ABS warning lights on dash, and DSC warning dialog on Nav screen but car runs fine. (Previous DSC module was causing brake lock-up with no release!) I have no need to code any of the comfort options BMWhat seems to specialize in. Can anybody recommend a good course of action for me? Would be great to find an Android app that would code BMW body/chassis modules. I can take it to an independent service shop to do this, but I'd rather be self-sufficient and do it myself. Thanks, Greg Houston TX |
