Maybe it is, but I've gotten slightly better gas mileage with the procede vs stock. It sounds crazy, but it's true and has been for a while.

No accident the PROcede might be better then stock. I believe said that during cruising the car will target a couple degrees more ignition for fuel economy, responsiveness, ETC

not perplexing at all.... and this is the beauty of the procede.

With my Dinan Stage 2, my mileage dropped and I had nothing to do about it but live with it.

I just proved today that my new procede, with ultra 94 gas, on map 2 did better mileage than Dinan... and pretty good mileage.

I move my arm a foot, click the DTC button twice and I am on map 3 (NA mode - which I haven't tried yet). I am expecting to get even better mileage for trips on the highway on cruise. This isn't available on the beta yet... but could pay for the procede upgrade over time on long trips if you wanted to justify it.

Now if Shiv implements a suggestion of mine to implement an "M" button (retask the stereo source button), I could move my thumb 1" and ideally change the entire nature of the car in seconds !!

Turn on:
1) Switch to Map 3 (Meth)
2) turn on Shift lights/audible alert
3) Display boost guage
4) turn on Meth
5) Ideally put DTC on position 1
6) go around the idiot that pissed you off in 2.5 milliseconds

Click the "M" button again to back to cruising:
1) NA mode (or map 1)
2) Gas guage display
3) Shift lights/audible indicator off
4) Meth off
5) turn on DTC to stock on

Anyway, I have put this in the suggestion thread.... my point is we have the best of both worlds.

^^ Sounds like a good idea except there's no way Shiv will do anything with DTC due to liability concerns IMO.

If you think of it like the speed delimiter, where the user must disable it in the Procede user adjustables, the user needing to enable the M button in the Procede user adjustables may not cause any more liability issues than the speed delimiter! Problem solved, no?

Hi there,
I got your PM but probably better to answer here or everyone else. Map4 (progressive meth) is only selectable once you put a number (1-99) in the "Injection Mode" user adjustable. An entry of "0" indicates standard mode (no meth).

Also... we should have new firmware coming either tomorrow or day after to address the random map display/shift alert issue

I guess that's possible, but IIRC Shiv mentioned the liability problem himself before. And we're assuming here that Procede can change TC mode without having to press the DTC button.

Where do we adjust for any Map4 settings?
Is this done via Map2 User Adjustable Settings?
And if it does, what map will it change to, if we run out of meth?....map1???

you need to enter a value in progressive meth setting in the user adjustable. just take your time and open it . you will see it. Std. value is around 12 (600ml/min) or 14 (700ml/min) but this is with the labonte failsafe ISF30. You need to connect a failsafe that gives the signal to the Procede 1-5V. When the value of flow is reached the procede will switch to map 2 (and the blinker lights will go on together) . When the value stop beeing reached it will revert to map 1.
please search because there are tons of thread on the subject.

Enter the number in injection mode in the user adjustables menu. Its based on how much your flow sensors flows.

If its flowing at a "15" make the minimum value 12 or 13.

It reverts to map 1.

I've brang this up in the past, as the first thing most of us do is press the DTC button once when we get in the car. But I don't think Shiv will implement this feature in the Procede. I'll like to see how Vishnu does improve the TC mode to behave more like the DTC system on the BMW.

The speed delimiter is different since not everyone drives over 150mph. If you turn on DTC by default, if someone else drives the car (wife, friend, valet) and get into an accident, it could be a liability concern... Now, back on topic... Loved the maps yesterday on my trip to Chicago... smooth acceleration and couldn't feel any timing retard on hard pulls through 3rd... Happy happy happy!

How did you feel timing retard in the past?

Will the people that are not experiencing these issues have to download the upcoming firmware?
