I called them and the guy said he does not have the tools to do a diff on a 335i. Seems weird I know. I tried to explain to him the final drive ring gear is bolted on to the open diff and it is moved over to the limited slip diff so the gears are the same but he said he needs to do some checking and he would get back to me. Obviously they have not done one before so I don't think I will use them.

Very interesting. I am going over there tomorrow. I'll ask him about it. I was thinking about the Quaife LSD, too.

Since your car is an 09 it has a welded final drive ring so install is more difficult and costs more I believe. I was thinking this may be what he was talking about when he said he did not have the tools but I am not sure. Let me know what happens when you talk to him tomorrow.

I have extra tickets from the fair tonight. I have 90 ride tickets, 2 drink coupons, and various other fair coupons. The ride tickets are worth $60 (more if you buy them there). I'll let them go for $30 if any local guys are interested. Shoot me a PM.

They're highly competent at Shane's shop. Your initial experience sounds like an anomaly with these guys.
