We have yet to see an intercooler perform this well at this volume.
Nice, what was ambient?

Hey Tiago, what has been the difference in pressure drop of your race version vs your 7"?

Wow I haven't seen numbers like this from a core this small yet. I have a couple customers that could really use that new core here.

I'm currently looking at purchasing a FMIC and tossing up between either

Wagner Evo 1 vs. VRSF 5" stepped / 7"

Wagner evo 1 seems like an easy installation whereas the VRSF may be a lot harder and so might take to a shop to do.

Price wise a Wagner will cost me $1020 AUD + DIY vs. VRSF $600ish + $300-400 installation

What are your thoughts on which is the best cooler?

Wagner EVO 1 is comparable to VRSF 5"
Wagner EVO 2 is comparable to the 7"

What kind of mods do you have on your car?

Stage 2 MHD, Catless DPs + Axle back, DCI, CP/BOV

So basically a FMIC will make me FBO

What would you suggest? Would probably not upgrade turbos unless they are blown

I would do either Wagner EVO 2 , VRSF 7" or VRSF 7" High Density

Do you track your car often?

Generally only street my car. Are there any major differences between wagner/vrsf or does it just come down to preference?

There are differences in terms of size, core design, fin density, finish quality.
Both would be a major upgrade and offer great value for your money

Our 7" HD core will outperform the Wagner Evo 2 due to it's larger overall volume and denser fin pack. It's also a bit less expensive. The install of the Evo 2 and the 7" is the same

Any multi gear logs to show IATs with the 7" HD? And how does the HD handle increased flow from big frame turbos?

At the top of page 17, that's the 7" HD. It's perfect for stock frame turbos but any 7" intercooler starts becoming a flow restriction above 650whp. Our 7.5" Stepped Race intercooler is better suited for anything above that HP level.

Here's a repost of the 2-4 gear pull with out 7" HD. 9 degree rise over 3 gears.

evo 1 is stock connection vs evo 2 which is wagner connection. stock connection is a restriction yes but will you notice on stock turbos highly doubt it.

I've only had one vendor who ive spoken to that didn't try to push me into the more expensive evo 2. most vendors will push you into the evo 2 (or some other better core). they aren't wrong they are better however whether there is any difference for stock turbo guys is unlikely and the price gap is significant for very little gain (if any).

evo 1 performance is a huge improvement on the stock intercooler. best part is there is no modification to the car required.

Any intercooler is better than stock thats for sure, EVO 1 is quality intercooler and major improvement.

That being said even on stock turbos if you are pushing over 400 whp, 5" intercooler like the EVO 1 starts having trouble keeping up. Thats why we offer bigger cores for FBO applications

It'll perform worse than any intercooler over 5" due to the volume/size, OEM connectors and loose fin pack.

Its better than stock but no where near the level of the brand intecoolers ... If you are going to spend money on upgrading your intercooler get something that is worth it

Main difference is a much higher fin density which will result in significantly lower IAT here are couple pictures

This is a test unit not meant to be sold to the public so finish is not great

Thank you. Also, I see it is not a stepped design.
Any information on pressure drop with the higher density of the fins?
Will it induce more lag?
