UK4 meet

Looking at the Rose & Crown Inn, Middle Mayfield, Ashbourne, looks like a nice country pub & serves food from 12pm till 2pm.

Not sure about parking space, so I'll give them a ring.

Looks like it's located somewhere here, so would make for a good starting point for a drive into the Peak District.

If everyone's happy, shall we call this the meet point, instead of Donington Park?

Nah, a drop of correction fluid or similar will sort it.

I kind of like the white look even on the back though, esp for silver.

I actually agree with you about the white even for the back. Certainly makes it stand out for when someone drives off without removing it. How many have done that now?

If you're still going for the yellow on the back, might I suggest printing the flag on white and pasting it? You'd get a better finish without brushstrokes and it would probably be quicker. Of course, it's back to the "assemble your own cover" scheme I masterminded.

One more thing- the Saturday night meal.

There's a few inns / restaurants around the centre of Ashbourne- have a look here.

As I'm in a generous mood, I thought I'd ask what everyone wanted to do.

Is there anywhere specific people want to have a meal?

It's just that I'll book somewhere, just so we don't trawl from place to place on the night.

The Rose & Crown is supposed to be a very good restaurant. Danny Breen (who's the chef and owner) used to work with some of my old staff - very good chef.

I'm meeting James in Cobham. Which is 5mins from Junc 10 of the M25. He's picking up his car, then we're redlining it all the way round the M25 to the M1. You can join up at the Toddington services on the M1? We can call you when James is collecting his car - depending on where you are in Essex it shouldn't take you long to get up to Toddington.. I reckon we'll get there at about 10:30ish

toddington is between junctions 11/12 on the M1
