Saw Brooks being interviewed on the news talking about it. Does pretty good for a 98 year old.

I was riding back from Beaver Creek today on my GS (the Minister and I were celebrating her 55th birthday and our upcoming 15th anniversary) and as I passed through Vail, I saw a Porsche with the plate "Vail911".

Saturday I came up behind a Rolls on the highway. One of the newer ones with the ugly box-like design and the horrible two-tone paint scheme. Apparently the owner agreed (unless he made his fortune selling litter boxes) as the plate was (I kid you not):

Like most states, we have "specialty plates" where you pay an extra fee and get a plate affiliated with a non-profit or similar cause/organization. One of them supports the Gateway Arch.

This morning I saw a 328i with a Gateway Arch theme plate and the text: 630 FT

Which, of course, is both the height and the distance between the legs (at their widest) of the Arch. I like it.

Just don't. You do realize this is where we come to make fun of vanity plates right. And if they don't know it's a hardtop M3, the plate won't help.

Plus I've got a vanity plate myself, just not running it right now until I can get back into a sports car in about 12-15 years....sigh, that's a long time.

yeah I'm well aware. I figured the thread called "funny license plates" would be the one safe place on the forum to ask, but I suppose people like you will still criticize regardless.

as for the hard top comment, the idea isn't to "inform" people who don't know that it's a hard top. the plates with "M3" in them aren't supposed to tell people it's an M3 either. that's what the badge is for. the idea is just to have a plate that has an association with the car that it's placed on.
