Mate. ... It is a BEAST! !!! And that's me being conservative. We could have pushed more brake out but my Interest was in safeguarding the auto box snd engine as it's My first ever performance mod. Ever. Lol.

Next stop. Dips ... for the seibon bootlid now.

Yeh get it mapped lol.

It's not putting power down to well as its wet and rainy ut when it's dey then we'll see. Also u have 235 profile tyres on 10j rear so yeah.... Ideally I'd want 275 + LSD haha.

This is my most powerful car I've owned. Before this I had a 320d. .. jag x type. .. alfa romeo.. citroen and pugs lolllllll.

Hence I'm scared if anything goes wrong lol.

600 lbft is the limit on the box, 38 ish psi is limit of turbos not sure on fuel rail pressure your well below that, stop being a pussy lol and up it to a sensible limit. I would however change diff/box oil - i did it's not long life at all.

I'm at 372/565 and have been for a year I'm on 103k too, it will put all the power down in the dry with occasionally a flicker of the TC light, this time of year forgot it when damp and cold if your stupid you'll kick the back end out.

I have to admit Greg - the comfort of these is incredible even though my tyre is MORE aggressive than my Rial set up. This thing just loves the bumps n stuff so I'm loving the remap timing and putting my winters on..

Busy day today..

1st stop Jason BW for a remap and 2nd stop down the road, Dips@ Custom Cars.

Some Pics of the New Seibon Carbon Fibre Bootlid. Fitment although is spot on once adjusted, Dips and I ran out of time today to have it 100%. Plus the flat polishing remains so that and the final adjustments to get the boot sitting right and 100% lined up will take place next week...

Video of Jason doing his thing and totally love the 95's

As you can see, perfect alignment, but just fine tweaking now..

Cheeky pic whoring

Sam, your car looks better than ever with this bootlid! I now like your car as much as Josh's

I was in the same boat as you regarding performance mods, the remap on my car was the first I've had. I was a bit unsure but would now never go back - remapped 335d is very tasty!

Re the gearbox max torque, we had a little discussion on this a few weeks ago and someone posted a link to an official BMW gearbox document which clearly stated the max torque for our car was 600NM. I can't find the link anymore, I think it was on your Wagner IC thread...

Max torque 600nm which is roughly 20 less than standard, into lbft which isn't roughly 14lb.

If that's the case everyone who's had their car remapped would have blew up their gearbox.

It's rated to 600 lbft and even less so in the e60, this figure obviously isn't from bmw it's from several different sources.

I think the standard torque is 580 NM if I am not mistaken.

Take a look at the document:

So as to be compatible with the engines with higher torques, the automatic transmissions are designed with different
strengths. The automatic transmissions thus differ, e.g. through different torque converters.
Depending on the engine fitted, the following 6-speed automatic transmissions are fitted:
- GA6HP19Z (designed for maximum torque of 400 Nm)
- GA6HP19Z TU (designed for maximum torque of 400 Nm)
- GA6HP26Z (designed for maximum torque of 600 Nm)
- GA6HP32Z (designed for maximum torque of 750 Nm)
It's pretty clear - the 335d has the GA6HP26Z!

It's pretty clear - the 335d has the GA6HP26Z!
I'm sure the 335d has the 26TU, the 26Z was in the early 535d's and had a tendency to go wrong... The LCI 335d's have the GA6HP28 box which is rated to something ridiculous...

So about a week gone with the remap and the seibon boot lid.

The remap is absolutely spot on and there's just so much torque I fucking love sitting in that car and pissing a few people off who try to get cocky for no reason lol! Visited The Custom Cars HQ today to have my bootlif flat polished waxed and realigned. I'm pretty much satisfied with the looks as far as the car goes... need a front bumper respray but other than that... all good

Left my Centre iDrive trim with dips to paint match my existing piano black trim... should be picking that up mid week. Not sure where I'm heading now to be honest. Few last maintenance bits and bobs to do, few Audio adjustments and ofcourse, daily driven....... #bawsmaterial

Jazz...
Jason bw Chiptune charges circa £350 for a custom remap and dyno. That's to answer your PM.

Now then, to answer the above... look into JBD+... that's about the only plug and play option I'd opt for which can easily be reversed.
