Did you test fit / measure to confirm that they cover the handbrake mechanism well enough to prevent dirt from getting in there ? Let me know ... I will be sending the calipers out to the machine shop this week. I have completed the test fit of the front calipers with my track wheels (Apex EC-7 18X9 ET31). They fit wonderfully with room to Spare... |

Is there any chance of these calipers fitting behind the 18" 313 wheels? Fronts are 8x18 ET:34, and rears are 8.5x18 ET:37.
Thanks.

They do clear the 19's - there are pictures in this thread with F3x 370mm Brembo & OEM 313 (19")
For the 18's, the guy who started this thread had to shave the caliper to get them under! I think it depends on the thickness of the wheel barrel! |

No, it depends on wheel design and wheel offset, not thickness of the barrel. Plenty 18" fit with out any modifications. Also, a lot of 19" do not, especially those multi piece closed spoke design like BBS LM for example.

Any further info on the new disc suggestion - should this make the job easier?
I still keep coming back to thinking about doing the rears to match my 370mm fronts! I wouldnt be able to do it myself though, and nobody has done it in the UK yet, so we don't exactly have an abundance of info / shops capable of doing the work! |

My 370mm brake upgrade was so simple thanks to the info you and the rest of the guys have provided in the thread! My main concern is that with the rear, there is just one opportunity to get it right! Like someone else has posted, it would be great to have somewhere offering this service - preferably with the new disc that has been mentioned (by you) from the 5 series! Has anyone used that disc yet - as if they have, then I guess there will be new measurements to mill the caliper to? |

It looks like a 3mm spacer would do the trick but I am using a 12.5mm spacer so I had no issues. As for general wheel fitment, there are two factors to watch out for: - Drop center (How the spokes come towards the hub) - APEX EC-7 18X9 fit without a spacer but Style 313 19X8 need a spacer.- Barrel design - APEX EC-7 18X9 have more room in the barrel than the 19X8 Style 313. In response to feuer's proposal for an alternate disc, I physically measured the proposed discs:
F30 335i M Sport: BMW: 34206797600 Zimmerman:150.2920.20 Offset: 66 mm Drum depth: 61mm E92 335i: BMW: 34216855004 Zimmerman: 150.2920.20 Offset: 66 mm Drum depth: 61 mm E60 535i : BMW: 34216763827 Zimmerman: 150.3461.20 Offset: 63 mm Drum depth: 58 mm The E60 535i disc would definitely work and require 3mm less material to be removed. However, for a car that sees Canadian winters and salt, I have elected to go with the F30 M Sport rear. In an effort to give back, I spent a few hours with the Zimmerman catalogue which shows the critical dimensions for each disc but I was unable to come up with a better option. Shout out to feuer for having done all the research !! |

Here is a photo for F30 rear rotor on E90. Looks like there is few mm to spare so E60 rotor will mount flush with the brake shoe backing plate.
