I've been using Meguiars ultimate compound to get the paint cut back on the E36 with great results, I tried a bunch of different compounding pastes and creams, but the Meguiars worked the best, I've also got some of that finishing polish, haven't used it yet though almost done with the M3, put some time into finishing it off over the Chrissy break, should be up for sale by the weekend |

I looked at the awron seriously before installing the P3. I chose it over the awron because I didn’t want to lose the front center vent and there were reports the awron doesn’t play nice with the N54. Was a lot of cash to take a chance on. I ordered mine from P3 direct it was only $300 or something from memory. Easy to install and has heaps of features although I still haven’t hooked it up to read real time boost levels, which I must get around to doing one day

Agree completely Nar, that's why I ditched the Tial for a GFB BOV a couple of years back
If you are reading through the thread, have you come across the warbling problem with the Tial BOV when the silicon intakes were installed? It was another reason for installing the GFB BOV |

Has anyone had a look at the Defi style OBD dashboards ? They do a lot of stuff.
https://www.ebay.com.au/i/252562337289?chn=ps There's also a plethora of these OBD race dashboards that go for cheap. https://www.ebay.com.au/p/Universal-...1678343&chn=ps

Agree Aus when I started the build, Cobb was a thing. Silicon inlets were not available and peeps were running meth to get extra hp. Single turbo cats were unknown here in Aus So many great options around today and prices for parts have come down heaps from when I purchased them. Unfortunately I think the pace of innovation for the platform has slowed down, as people and sellers move to the F series. Still there is plenty of life left in the E9x especially as the cars get cheaper to buy.

Car is back from the panel beaters after being run up the ass in traffic
All new CF diffuser and rear bumper Guys at Brighton Panel Works (Moorabin) did an excellent job repairing spcgry and painting the new panels that will go on this weekend Can highly recommend Craig and the team, if anyone is looking for a good smash repairer in Melb. Quality work and excellent customer service Pics below Pic 1 - Gary waiting to be collected Pics 2, 3 & 4 - New rear end |

Looking good sock. I was just about to suggest getting a m3 rear like me since you couldn't find a diffuser but saw this so looks like it's too late now haha

Mod 105 - New front end parts
Technically not a mod, more a renovation. Basically just replacing the hood and front end bits, that are beat up, damaged or just looking tired Replacing the hood (because I beat on it with a hammer) Fenders (because where they attach to the car are cracked and broken) Front bumper (because someone backed into it and didn't leave a note) Panels supplied by eurodivision, painted by brighton panel works and to be fitted with the help of yoda motor sports Also taking the opportunity, to install the gloss black front lip (to match the side extensions) and a fresh set of black kidney grilles. Both have been sitting in the shed for nearly 12 months, waiting for the bumper to be replaced. Also had to transfer over the M3 air ducts from the old bumper (because the ones supplied with the M3 rep kit, don't fit properly) Fitting the lip and air ducts took a lot longer then expected, but got there in the end Hope to get everything fitted to the car this Sunday, with some help from Vince Will post some pics when its all put together Pics below Pic 1 - New bonnet ready for collection Pic 2 - New front bar Pic 3 - New fenders Pic 4 - Front end looking pretty tired Pic 5 - Lip ready to install Pic 6 - 8 hours later, lip is on Pic 7 - Another 8 hours later, ducts etc fitted and front bar is ready to install Last edited by Socket; 01-18-2019 at 06:23 AM.. |
