Right so this wrench was on sale recently:

Is this better than the hand-held one? It's off sale now, but reasonably frequently goes on for 49.99.

Thats what I currently use. Unfortunately I've not had any experience with the hand-held heavy duty cordless ones, just the typical hand drills only. I've not had any torque problems at all.

My bad, I meant to say is it better than the hand-held *mechanical* one (i.e. the one at the top of this thread) - the cordless electric ones are apparently not great at all.

If you have the time... (ie not working in a tire shop) the manual one is better than any powered ones.

quality shops will always finish the tightening with a manual Torque Wrench.

Righty-o then - tire change happens twice a year, I can find the extra couple of minutes for it. =)

I use the electric one for loosening frozen bolts only. Not for tightening.
