What's that Squirrel's name, Barry (Bonds)?
I'm gonna try to put something together (for my own piece of mind) this Winter. I will report back anything I come up with.

Stett's intake is the only true CAI IMHO for the N54. In all honesty an upgraded IC will benefit your car more than a CAI for FI engines. When I upgraded my IC the pull felt alot stronger at higher RPM's than the stock IC. "In May of 2009, I showed that the STETT CAI did indeed produce colder IAT temperatures over a traditional DCI intake at WOT without any increase in wastegate duty cycles that were notable. My averaged was 9F colder IATs with the STETT Perfomance CAI versus the traditional DCI intakes. Note, this difference was with an aftermarket intercooler, so the difference would be quite a bit bigger with the stock intercooler. I think this put to rest that a CAI will indeed produce colder air to your engine which ultimately is the goal here" Quoted from Former_Bossted_IS who I may add did a terrific job with the write up. |

Tom, you might want to consider two tabs on the side to secure the snorkel better. Just a thought. I know it wouldn't help performance but it wouldn't be hard to do and it would look much better.

The snorkel hasn't moved since I made the heat shield (1 ½ year ago), so I don't think it's anything to worry about.
