Thanks! I would recommend the remap, the car feels soooo much more responsive now. It's insane what a remap can do, remains to be seen how it affects my clutch though, wear and tear etc!

Have you noticed much of a change in MPG?

Minimal change to be honest, it seems to be the same if I drive sensible. Honestly haven't seen a change at all? But then again my remap is more aggressive.

However the MPG does go down if I drive with a heavier foot (as you'd expect)

Nice car mate and you got some serious gains out of your remap.
Do you know if it was just a tuning box which they installed or was it a proper remap from the ECU?

I can't really find any companies that will re-map the ECU on my LCI 320d (184bhp) for a decent price

Thanks man. It was a proper remap, so it was custom made. I got it done by Ecotune in Glasgow, Scotland. They spent a good 5 hours doing it. I would recommend them if you are able to come up.

Otherwise, Jason at BW Chiptune is really good too.

You should be looking at roughly 225/230 I'd say with an aggressive remap. Having said that my mate got his 181bhp Seat remapped by Ecotune to 240!

I think I'd play the safe game and stick to a medium remap. 220 would be just fine for me.

Glasgow, unfortunately, is extremely far away but Chiptune is certainly an option, thanks!

I'm interested to find out a little bit more about those Ecotune remaps from Glasgow, as I'm from Scottish Borders and was thinking about a remap soon. Was considering E-Maps from Edinburgh or Ecotune from Glasgow. Mine is the pre-LCI N47 177 engine and was thinking about the Stage 2 from Ecotune for £795.00.

What would you recommend mate?

Hey man! Good to have you on board! Cheers Quite easy! The only fiddly part is putting the wheel arch cover back into the proper place - that took the longest! Oh and accessing the high beams can be tricky too but definitely doable! It took me about a hour each side and majority of that was spent trying to place the wheel arch cover back.

Thanks man, I have been stalking your Edition M-Sport, love the CIC conversion! I wanna get rid of my Pro HU and fit in a CIC but if only I had the cash

Mate go Ecotune, they will take care of your car and they will do it properly! Cannot recommend them enough, I had my remap accidentally wiped when the dealer updated by ECU, and they placed it back on no questions asked! Customer service is superb!

Stage 2 involves DPF delete and a new exhaust I'm assuming?

Nice car mate. Love it and white and love the lighting. Let me know if you go for the grills. I have some gloss black m sport ones saved on eBay and not sure if I should go for them lol.

Been a while since I updated this so here's what has happened:

- Got rid of the tacky M Sport indicators (what was I thinking!)
- Changed oil: Castrol Edge 0w-40
- Bought some Pagid rear brake pads and fitted them + new wear sensors (easiest DIY job you can do!)
- Alpine retrofit kit, fitted myself + coded to HiFi
- 5 quid Bluetooth to AUX receiver - works quite nicely with the Professional HU's handsfree calling (switches over to that when a call comes in, and then goes back to playing music)
- M performance gloss black grille - looks awesome with the Alpine White
- Installed a M3 style gloss black lip spoiler - really nice touch in my opinion nice and subtle and looks good! Bought this off eBay for 50 from a Taiwanese seller, build quality is excellent. Installed using 3M spoiler tape

Here are some new photos when I polished the car using the Autoglym kit:

Oh and I have placed an order for MB Quart QMW-200 BMW underseat subwoofers from Germany, quite reasonable at 140 quid. Will update this once I fit them and write a review (couldn't find any BMW owner reviews on these )

Any suggestions for what to go next?

Looks lovely mate 👍 what about a 335i exhaust conversion? Think I'm gonna go to ecotune for my remap but I think that's about the only thing they do for my M47 engine 😔

Thank you Hmm that would set me back quite a lot I'd imagine? I actually quite like the single exhaust tip to be honest, since my car end of the day is just a 4 cyl 2 ltr - last thing I want is people try race me.. and take me!

I was thinking of getting the exhaust tip repainted in gloss black, I think that might work

Definitely would recommend Ecotune, they really know how to squeeze everything out the engine! Will be interesting to see how you get on if you do go ahead so keep us up to date!

BMW do a black chrome cover. I had it on my first 320d. Quality is great and washes well, can give it a good scrub and doesn't lose any paint.
