I'm not a big fan of the looks either, but I think it's a sweet ride. It'll definitely get double takes - more for its outlandishness than its beauty; it's a striking car. But what other family hauler pulls .89gs, hits 60 in 4 flat, and can have a 6 speed manual? Hell of a lot more appealing than an average SUV or minivan.

Too far out to know. Keeping my car for at least another 4-5 years. At that point possibly a X3, X5, or who knows.
Small chance I'd get some Suburu in the next couple years.

All 4 car seats (Peg Perego Primo Viaggio infant, Recaro Como convertible, Britax Frontier 85 convertible, and now Evenflo Big Kid LX booster) fit fine in my old E46, which is smaller than an E90. I now have my 49", 64lb kindergartener in a belt-positioning booster seat (the Big Kid LX) behind me (6'5") in my 335d, and there's no problem. All 3 strollers we went through also fit fine in the trunk, and the biggest one that fit the least well we only used for about a year. The Maclaren umbrella stroller that gets used more frequently than the other two by a factor of 300 would fit in the trunk of a Smart Fortwo. You THINK you need a massive SUV that's slow, handles ponderously, and gets 12mpg, but you really don't. Trust me. For myself, since I just traded my 2000 E46 323i for a 2011 E90 335d last month, I'm a ways off. But it's not unlikely that my next car will be whatever the equivalent of the 335i/335d is in the generation after the F30. If I can dream, M350d or M550d. Or perhaps we'll do a mid-cycle add (instead of replace) for a C7 Corvette. Last edited by geko29; 10-03-2012 at 08:16 AM.. |

Probably looking at 335i, M3, some kind of Porsche, or an AMG. Depends on a few different circumstances at the time. Probably 4 years out from that though.
