I'm a bit curious to see how this sounds vs. If you had an equal length design. Please keep us updated

its acts like an O2 sim/bung. U need to code it to do that... Not sure how.

Hmm.. I get what you mean now, is this meant to use only with catless headers/dp?

Nice.
Need some nice WOT vids too :-) Looks like there isn't much increase in cabin noise (which is a good thing). Keep it up :-) |

long tube headers are the type that usually make a lot of noise... his are custom catless single-tube headers. Big difference but still makes the necessary horsepower without all the unwanted noise.
I prefer the loudness myself... :/ @mapleridge, if you wanted to meet up tomorrow, drop me a PM about where u want to meet. |

Ok....I'm not a cinematographer but here is an idle video and another one where I punched it. It is pretty evident that these things aren't loud at all. They change the sound ever so slightly.
*edited to add neutral revs. Last edited by mapleridge; 11-25-2012 at 12:24 AM.. |

Looks like you found your noise level tolerance, I wonder how it would've sounded with the DA pipes. What pipes are you going to run with later?

I actually dyno'd with the stock exhaust and the Detail addict pipes did have gains in tq and hp over stock. It was negligible though. I figure deleting secondaries on the stock system would get me more gains than the DA setup. For now, I am enjoying the quiet. Once I dyno, these headers and if the power is there I will delete second cats too and if it gets too loud I will throw more resonators on. I like the single side outlet for now. If anything I would just change the oem outlets to fit my m3 rep. Swapping between bumpers is cool for now. A friend at the shop showed me how to uninstall the rear bumper in a flash so it's like switching underwear now.

Just finished installing my headers. Took me about 5 hours. Got to head to the exhaust shop tomorrow and get them connected to the mid pipes. Right now they are wide open and loud as hell haha!
