Anyone have the full list of mods? Also, are their any upgraded turbo available for the new body STI?

I personally like the STI and the Evo x...just don't think I could rock it anymore at my age Maybe when I get more secure with myself and I can step away from the BMW insignia and drive whatever J/K kind of....
I recently thought of purchasing one w/the 0% financing and rebate for my wife. She drove the STI and thought it was too laggey and not as sharp as the 06's, then she drove the Evo x MR and thought it was underpowered(I blame it on the 4 person test drive)but really responsive but kind of unattached, and then she drove the 335d non sport and thought it felt like an old womens car, so she drove the 335i w/sport auto and thought it was great! I convinced her to drive 328i wagon w/ sport and loved it as well. We decided to get the e90 328i sport after all of that driving. BTW in comparison to those cars she was trading in her r56s w/JCW package , b/c I knocked the wife up I can't help but bring up to her every once in a while about how cool of a soccer mom car the STI would have been luckily my brother in law just picked up an 09 sti over his first choice 135i

I'm literally drooling right now! That's one sexy beast!!
When the new hatches came out they made me want to barf in my mouth. Then I saw some of the modded Sti's and realized how cool they could be. If I could have two cars that would be in my garage too (sure, wifey park outside). And they're not just nice because of the looks. They have great power and handling. I had one of that model Sti in front of me the other day on a decreasing radius freeway on ramp and he blew out of there really fast. I had my wife and baby girl in the car so I wasn't being crazy but I was amazed at how well that thing handled and accelerated. I think it would take much more than the coilovers I have installed on my car to keep up with an Sti in the twisties. |

Pretty sure the engine remained almost exactly the same for the new body style, so all the turbo upgrades carried over. I almost purchased an 08 when I was looking, I had an 05 STi at the time, and they weren't dealing much on them. But last year during the fall/winter, they were discounting 08 STI's like a mother, like 7k off sticker because so many were sitting around lots. When I looked in August, they were asking 39k for a fully loaded one, which was what I paid for my 135 and there was no way I was paying almost 40k for an STI, when my last one cost low 30's. -Ben |

That's why you buy an STI over a WRX. That and the whole car in general, from suspension to power to looks. . . |

sorry but that car looks like it has about $20k worth of mods in it, putting the price tag most likely close to $60k. i think i'll take a very lightly used z06 and beat the living sh*t out of that sti in every performance category. while not looking like a 12 year old boy whos daddy gave him the dough to buy it. either that or a broke 28 year old loser who spent his entire life savings on his car while living in mommys basement. thanks though.
the wrx/sti were great cars before toyota got their filthy hands on subaru. now they're just crap. the end. |

I do agree that this car is heavily modded. However, the corvette is equally a stereotypical car for other reasons. |

Much better transmission, LSD front and rear, Wider track, better interior, HID lights, Better suspension pieces, much higher capability on the motor if you intend to tune it. |
