I think its because there is so much inconsistency in the blends based upon all users and E85 fuel stations. would be tough to create an OTS map and have it work optimum for all users.

It definitley works. I've been running a 30% blend for a while now and have seen my STFT as high as 24, with the suggested adjustments in ATR in my last couple of runs STFT only went as high as 5 and stayed within 1-5. I'm really pleased and will try running a higher blend on the next fill up.

Awesome job Cobb.

This is all the team at Cobb. I just helped by providing conversion/scalar values in a table from my past platforms. They are 100% to thank for finding the tables and getting this done!! I just bugged them a bunch hoping to have this. The team working on our platform over at Cobb is second to none.

Driver Mod I actually have no idea if there's a turbo by-pass map like on the JB4, but since turbos are more fuel efficent (when compared against equally powered N/A or S/C motors), as long as you put the cruise control on you should see quality MPG

+1
Also, In theory, you could create an ATR map that runs very low requested load and that should help with MPGs

What did you enter as the value? about 1.010? Just want to check my understanding of that table against someone else's running about 30% E85.

I havent played with this yet but if your runng about 30% E85 (not 30% ethanol), i would start with 1.10 and log it to see how the trims look.

So if the scalar for 100% E85 is 1.4 but you are running 25% E85, is it 25% of 1.4? The table is written for percentage ethanol up to E85 not percentage E85 in the tank.

So 25% is 1.1
50% is 1.2
75% is 1.3
and 100% is 1.4?

edit: found it:

X = % of E85 added to gasoline
Y = actual % of ethanol in your E85
Z = % of ethanol in your pump gasoline

(X * Y) + ((1 - X) * Z) = overall ethanol content

So if your E85 is really 85%, and your mix is 30% E85 to gasoline, and your gasoline is 10% ethanol from the pump...

X = 30%
Y = 85%
Z = 10%

(.30 * .85) + ((1 - .30) * .10) = .325 or 32.5% ethanol

Does this take into account the 10% ethanol already in "regular" pump gas?

Anyone log IDC with fuel scalar employed and running E85? Did the scalar change the IDC, HPFP pressure, LPFP pressure, does it fool the vacuum that runs the HPFP? What is the scalar scaling?
