I seem to remember a tv spot suggesting that there were only two or three pots in the whole UK!

Yeah, I think 5th gear did an item on a guy that charges in excess of £5k for a detailing session. He uses Royale.

Zymol for me...
I use the Titanium wax which is the one recommended for marine applications....so its good for repelling winter muck

He's a very good detailer and an even better marketer (well, he has a marketing team). Most of his actual details go for around 300-500 pounds, iirc. Not many folks opt for the 5k pound detail. |

I'm intrigued by the £5000 detailing service, but to be honest for that money I would expect my car to be hand polished by naked catwalk models.
Anyway since you guys are knowledgeable about detailing (and I never even washed my company cars) I have a question. When my car was valeted by BMW after the fixed a dent in my door, they appear to have polished my wheels with something. Whatever it is, it seems pretty effective because I just washed it and the brake dust literally fell off ! Any ideas ? PS - they also topped the oil up for me, which I find a bit strange as it was only in for the dent. |

The probably sealed the wheels with something. You can do it yourself with any paint sealant or a dedicated wheel sealant. Most guys seem to use Klasse AIO on their wheels.
