I'm down--just if it isn't too far from where I am lol..
I don't think I'm going to handle canyons as well as you guys, I'm completely stock, I've tooken my car to canyons before and like 40-45MPH is where it tops off before it gets dangerous (or too dangerous for me)...

HI GUYS! sorry, I forgot I made this post!!
I'm SO DOWN! who wants to go this sunday, the 27th? if this is not enough notice, that's cool, we can always do another!! I'm thinking canyons around Santa Clarita, zip 91381... I like Lake Hughes Road (an exit off the 5 north) to San Fransisquito Canyon, back out to civilization, on Copperhill Road, which leads to either McBean Road, or The Old Rd, both of which have easy 5 freeway access.... We could meet at the Lake Hughes exit of the 5 north at like... noon? ride the canyons till we get out the other end (depends on group average speed, probably like... 1 hour? then do whatever we want... The canyons are incredibly scenic. You get to see Lake Hughes, lots of awesome geography, and in San Fransisquito Canyon, you get to see the remains of SF Dam, which washed out in the 30's... There are pieces of concrete the size of mobile homes in there! So what do you say, Sunday the 27th at noon? if you have a better idea, let me know!! Matt ADDED 8-22 NEW LOCATION!!! THE LOCATION IN THIS POST IS INACCURATE!!! Last edited by ///Matt; 08-23-2006 at 03:34 AM.. |

EDITED!! NEW LOCATION!
Here's the full route I want to take.... Take 5n to 14n. Exit Placerita Cyn. This is where we will meet at NOON. Placerita Cyn to Sand Canyon, turn right. take Sand Canyon up, turns into Little Tujunga Cyn going down, dumps out on foothill right at the 210!! NEW LOCATION! About a 30 minute very windy canyon... LET'S DO IT!! ///Matt Last edited by ///Matt; 08-23-2006 at 03:36 AM.. |

Come anyway bro! you don't need that stuff to come and have some fun! besides, it'd make for the perfect before/after! charge the canyons with me NOW, without the sways, then AGAIN after the install! it'd be badass!

Camarillo is pretty far out from where we are starting... maybe about an hour? and yes, I think it's safe to say that at least the kids and dog would get sick.
I'm going out for a test run of the whole route right now! I'll let everyone know just how awesome it is, assuming everything is open! =) Matt |
