To assess whether it is worth it, you're going to have to take it to a good repair shop (that works on BMWs) and have them take a look at the firewall area behind the lf wheel, and probably have the alignment checked to see if someone did something weird to bring it into correct alignment. This will cost money, as they may have to remove the wheel-well cover to assess it, and essentially align it.

The rest of the damage was superficial and easily repaired.

Yeh I'd really stay clear of this one.. if carfax is clear I'd say he sourced all the parts from God knows where, instead just safe a year more and get a trouble free 335d.

Why would you go down that path? Cheaper is not going to win out on ya.

The car will have much lower resale value when you try to sell due to the incident.

The car will not be eligible for BMW extended warranty, so you will be in no mans land when injectors and DDE issues arrise. The car will likely have a bad battery for sitting so much at body shops and such. Who knows how screwed up the alignment is and if so then how off the tire wear is.

How the heck did the accident damage the front frame rail like that? Odd.

Look up Manheim Imports here in PA, they have a high miles ~80k black 2009 for sale for ~$19k likely with much less drama.
