It was the 08 328i N51 @ 65k miles that had the EAC sensor codes being thrown, sporadic check engine light, this should be covered under the emissions warranty, (the radiator with the special emissions eating coating would have to be replaced since the EAC sensor and radiator are one unit) Or the car might just need a software update and there was an TSB on this.

Just got my car back from Charlie a couple days ago. He did some warranty work and also the walnut blasting. My car has 80k miles on it and never had the walnut blast service done. The car runs much better now, smoother idle and smoother on the throttle. Charlie was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend going to McKenna if you are needing the walnut blast done or other dealer work.

I don't believe that any "sensor" per say on an N51 would be covered under emissions... Please PM me the last 7 of your VIN so I can dig into it...

LOL yeah it's quite a distance... Norwalk is essentially the border of where LA county ends, but yeah I can provide a courtesy vehicle with this service.

My 2011 335d required walnut shell blasting for excess carbon build up a few months ago. The service was done at the local dealer where I purchased the car as a certified pre-owned BMW. The walnut shell blasting service was covered under my warranty and all was thought to be good. This past weekend I brought the car to another dealer (for convenience purposes) to get my oil changed. During the oil change the tech discovered excessive debris and what he said appeared to be walnut shell particles in the oil filter housing and filter itself. He asked if the car ever had walnut blasting and I told him yes. He took pictures and strongly recommended I contact the dealership that performed the original service. He was reluctant to throw dirt on the other dealer but he said this was highly unusual. Obviously I'm concerned these particles may have made there into the engine and caused or could cause future damage. I obviously plan on going back to the original dealer but was looking for thoughts or suggestions on what to do. Thank you.
