No idea. All I know is they are Merc OEM wheels, bought them off some lady in the city, had them machined to fit and painted them myself.

I know, but im still beating myself over the paint that i used... I wanted a satin, and because of one stupid coat of clear it made it glossy. I might soda blast the crap out of it in the future and re do it all, and get it opticoated.

Mate, I've got an e90 320d as well... I've had the ecu flashed by manic motorsport about a year ago but getting a bit too used to the power now. Looking for the next thing to upgrade...
Curious to know where you got the exhaust done? |

I took mine over to Berwick exhaust. The guy didn't remove the cat/dpf because he'd never seen anything like it and he didn't do coding lol. It's basically like the only restrictive thing in the exhaust, if you get a new exhaust you may aswell take it to a performance garage and get something like a straight pipe, which'll require some coding. You'll have black some and stuff coming out of the exhaust at times if not all.

Yeah a dpf delete is probly next on my list. But was just curious as to the exhaust you got cos I'm worried that any custom one runs the risk of being droney or worse, sounds like a Mack truck...
Do you mind telling me approx how much it cost you? I'm assuming it's cat back or just the rear can? |

I got charged $450, would of been $400 but I wanted a tip that was no longer in production and the last in stock so it was an extra 50 lol, all for a 2.5 inch catback system. Um with this exhaust, the cat is sort of like, the dpf aswell... if you google bmw 320d e90 dpf/cat you will get the same image. The only thing that can be done is just having no resonator, straight pipe to the back muffler, which is what mine is. The exhaust sounds just about the same with the oem exhaust in the cabin, barely any drone at all. It sounds nice, not like a truck lol, but it isn't loud, thats the annoying (for some people) part about diesels. Just to visualise the OEM exhaust it's like Manifold > DPF > resonator > rear muffler. Upgrade is basically getting rid of everything after the dpf and replacing it, that's why i think its better to get it all done at the same time because there really is no cat to remove, its stuck up inside the fat diesel burner.

I have a 320d E90 LCI as well, definitely subbed to this post. I'm planning on getting a tune and exhaust done, will probably do it at once and remove the DPF. Does anyone recommend a place in Melbourne that would do this ?

They do it though obd, and yeah get dpf delete done at same time as exhaust. Also I've heard that dpf deletes that aren't coded can cause damage, not sure how or why but it's recommended to do it straight after the mod is done.

Oh Awesome......reason I ask is, I've read somewhere that from 2009 onwards bmw used a new encryption on the ecu, meaning it wasn't possible to flash through OBD port. Mine is a NOV 08 built, I actually bought a Bluefin from superchips about 12 months ago, I tried flashing it and got a error. Spoke to the techs from the uk and they said it was due to the ecu being encrypted, only way around it was to take the ecu out and flashit directly. But that means that you can't go back to a stock map, which I didn't feel comfortable with. So maybe now they might have cracked the encryption.

Great to see a few 320d owners! I would love to get my dpf removed so it doesn't cost me an extra $270 for servicing each time. We should have a 320d mod thread haha
