Not bad... Maybe If there were some deep dish mesh rims I'd might rock it.

Dropping SUV's is stupid, it diminishes the whole point of SUV.

Ummm....you got denied financing for a BMW 2x...but got approved for a Porsche? lol, something doesn't seem exactly right with that but ok... The Cayenne S is a VERY nice vehicle, I doubt you'll be dissapointed with the Porsche.

The 335i was too expensive to be approved, yet the Cayenne wasn't a problem?

Sounds like some serious fixing of the numbers was involved.

Good luck with your choice.

On a side note*
:Lowering an SUV is bad on it's suspension because it was never meant to be that low.

i dont get why people "worry" about other peoples finances? personally i dont care if you spend every penny you ever earn on a car, suv, or what ever. all i can say is good luck with your purchase, my dad had a cayenne S and he LOVED it before he traded it for his 535xi.

People hate, get used to it. Congrats on the Porsche. I jumped into a brand new X5 4.8is 9 months after my e90 330i. A year or so after that I got my e90 335i. My credit was great but not good enough without a co-borrower. Life is life and when its good, take it for all its got... Im 21 this November and I've already gone through 4 brand new cars.

By the way, if you are who I think you are, you are the same Navit I went to school with in 8th grade. WRT Middle?

Right, people hate, that is true. But also some of us are twice your/his age and have that thing called financial experience and are being nice and giving the advice...

Anyway, below OP's nick it says M3 and 325 and so on... What is up with those cars? Anything wrong with them??? If planning to upgrade (M3) next year, why waste more money on Cayenne...

Good luck with whatever you choose...

It's not hating, like dr325i stated. If we, as a community, remotely cared about one another, then it would be pretty easy to see that some of the financial advice posted here is for the original poster's benefit, not our own.

The fact is, if you are denied twice for a BMW, then get approved for a Porsche, it may not be the best choice for you. Save the money, and truly buy a Porsche or a BMW when you can really afford it.

And yes, the Cayenne is a great car. Had an 04 Turbo and sold it this year. But as I stated, don't live above your means... get a car that you can live with for awhile, save and invest so the money grows, and then get the car you want, paid with cash.

There is over $900 billion in consumer debt. The sub-prime mortgage crisis taught us and lenders a serious lesson. Don't fall into the same trap of buying a car you can't really afford just because you got approved.

I am not trying to offend you, merely trying to help you. Financial discipline early will reap HUGE dividends in the future. Delayed gratification now, will let you live much more richly later in life.

+1 Though I have no experience and am younger than him, same idea. Don't spend money you don't have or you'll never have money.

Wow, did I just agree with the doctor? How did that happen?

Advice is great, but don't deliver it with a sour bomb and the OP might actually listen. Otherwise, it sounds and looks like hating.

I wouldn't worry too much. I really don't know how he got denied, especially with a co-signer unless he has had trouble managing his money in the past.

I am 23, right out of college and just got my first (new) car with no co-signer, no car loan history, and over 40K in school loans. On top of that I have had my job ~6 months, which is apparently frowned upton. I got a really good interest rate even (6.49% for 63 months).

To the OP: Don't worry about the haters, I get hated on for buying new instead of leasing it all the time by people who think they know everything. On the other hand, getting denied credit for a 335i should tell you something. I would tell you to invest it and wait, but then I would be a hipocrite (sp?)...

Sorry if I misunderstood you. Good to know there are still BMW drivers and owners who "sweat" their way up...

Buy a car, stick with it and instead of trading up for similar cars every year you'll be able to buy a much nicer car a few years down the road. I love this attitude. Some of the richest people I know, have loads of debt. Of course, their net worth’s are 10x the amount of debt they have.

Your financial goal should not be to minimize debt; it should be to maximize net worth.

to the op: getting declined on a credit app with a co-signer and then rolling around in a cayenne = poseur

I think this is what he was getting at. He said you will never make any money if it is all going to interest earlier in the post. Debt doesn't do any good unless you are accumulating debt in order to achieve a net profit. Debt is bad if it does not help you in some way, and getting a faster / better looking / better performing car isn't going to help improve his net worth at all... unless he is planning on picking up a sugar mama in it!

Never make a point on a topic you have no knowledge of.

Dropping trucks/SUV's is not stupid nor does it defeat the point. Saying a truck isn't made to be lowered, makes as much sense as saying a BMW or any other car isn't made to be lowered that much. As long as every thing is done right, there will be no problems. Besides how can it ruing the suspension, when that's what's being changed? When dropped to extreme lows, there is an incredible amount of work that goes into it. Geometry, strength, etc are all taken into consideration.

When I first got my truck, yes it was lowered, I hauled +1 million envelopes every day for a year. The guy who had it before me drove it straight from the dealer and lowered it. Used it almost every weekend to tow his boat, as well as tow equipment to his job sites during the week. A friend of mine had his truck dropped 6/8 and used it to haul his welding equipment every single day, besides cars he would be hauling for people. I could go on.

I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, but I hate when people try and act knowledgeable on a subject they know nothing about. If you know someone who had an issue than the installer or poor choice in parts is to blame. I drove mine for over 7 years without so much as a hick-up.
