my car makes a similar sound, but not nearly as loud as yours. i bought my car at the end of april 2010, but i dont think i have the software update. does the dealer update the software while the cars are still on the lot?

I had 2.37 installed late last month over the original factory software from the 2/09 build - the power comes in the lower 2000's rpm now, it was closer to 3000 with the prior version.
While it's better, but still not the same as my early 2007 E90 with progman 28 - I miss that low end grunt and getting pushed back in the seat.
