It would help prospective purchasers if you would share the software/firmware version you were unhappy with.

I think there was something wrong with my Procede unit itself, nothing else because others are running same settings, map, firmware with no issues. Boost was always fluctuating on my car from the first day, power was on and off and I cant tell you how many times I have gone over my car and how many times it was in the shop looking for a solution. I always ran the latest map available.

If you want an M5 then go for it. If it's just the power you want then keep your car and add some more parts! All depends on what you want man

How much boost can you run on pump without timing drops?

My vote would be throw some more parts on his 335. Mods and/or maintenance to the E60 M5 is gonna be about 3 times as much.

tmdb335 - glad your car is running right. I saw your comments thinking it was something wrong with the turbos. Glad it turned out to be something less drastic!

thanks alot man. It was def a big relief knowing that the turbos are fine. Trevor had been telling me to yank the V5 out and get the JB4 to see if the symptoms would go away but me being myself wanted to make sure nothing was overlooked first. Sadly I was kind of looking forward to getting RBs or something else if the AWD turbos did in fact die on me but instead these things came to life with a vengeance lol.

What was the point of removing the PROcede to go to a JB4? Just curious cause there is hardly an advantage if at all. I have 2 windows 7 comps that work just fine. You just need to run in XP compatibility mode and have a good USB cable.

The OP's car wasn't running properly with the Procede and his upgraded turbos. Boost oscilations and power loss. The JB4 is what the car needed to start working properly.

That is great that you tried another tune before ripping out the upgraded turbos!

Also shouldn't you be unbias since youre a vendor who sells both products?

Oh I thought he was having problems on stock turbo's. This has nothing to do with what I sell it was simply a question, thanks. It helps knowing pros and cons of each tune.

I did run my new laptop in XP compatibility mode and tried a few different USB cables but that honestly was the least of my worries lol. I ended up switching tunes because the JB4 basically fixed all my boost issues and power delivery that I was experiencing with the Procede. I have friends on both sides and tried doing everything I could to get the car running right. If the JB4 wouldnt have helped the turbos would have came off next. Luckily for me all problems solved with a much cheaper solution and I actually smile at the car now lol. I know both tunes are great but at the end of the day I had to do what was right for my situation and car.

It's all good man. I actually read your first post too fast and only saw the mentioning of the logging problems. So I thought that was the reason you got rid of it

Perhaps Vishnu needs some work on the upgrade turbo maps? I know they have their own upgraded turbo's on the shop car so hopefully they can work out any bugs for the future perhaps.

Good luck with it eitherway, I have buddies with every tune from every camp so whatever way you get consistent reliable power is good with me.

Sorry Enrita. I overlooked your post. I only run 100 octane and meth. If I ever run just pump I will let you know. There's a gas station near me that sells 100 on pump so it very convenient for me to always fill up. This car is not my daily.

With pump and the larger turbos you'll also want this.

Here is a 2-3-4-5 JB4/RB turbo using the CPS module with around a 3 degree offset on normal pump gas. He's been running 15psi for a few weeks and reports the car runs great with no timing drops or inconsistencies.

Thanks Mike. I will think about it if I plan to push pump gas. My car only sees 100 octane for now lol.
