You are probably using it. The headlight washers use loads and the dark wet weather means you use more than you think.

* length of headlight squirt 0.5, 0.7 or 1 sec

I left mine on but changed it from every 3 to every 7 windscreen washes.

It's really worth getting the BMWhat app if you haven't got it.
Nice post. Can I just check: no matter how long you pull the lever for, the light washers only come on every 7th time? Mine come on every bloody time! I increased the amount of time you can briefly pull the lever for a quick jet without the headlight washers coming on, but every 7th time would be perfect.

Mine goes through alot. 5 litres every few months. Think I will pull the fuse like WM suggests or just do the washer when headlights are off. The squirts only the screen. The light washers spray a sh*t load of fluid all over the place.

That's what it seems to indicate as there's no coding for 'time before headlight washers come on' but I'll look again today. You can only see what can be coded when the app is actually connected to the car - so you can't check through the app whilst wasting time when SWMBO watches soaps!

I should add that what can be coded varies between models - I'm only commenting for E92.

Funnily enough i bought my car in December and have also gone through 10 ltrs. Going to get the headlights coded out and see if that helps. But Ive been using blue screen wash and doesn't seem to have leaked onto my drive.
