I have always liked the way the GT-R looks A LOT. I dont like the black color though. If you look at the rear of the car in the one shot you can clearly tell it has a purple tint to it which is terrible. I remember how UGLY the older Skyline was in purple. There was a beatifully set one in NJ and it was purple. It ruined the WHOLE CAR.

i'd rather get a nice porsche than spend that much money on a japanese car....and i thought they wouldn't be able to make an uglier exhaust than on the normal gt-r, guess i was wrong

It better back up that price tag. Lets see if it can really spank the ZR1 as fanboys say.

In this economy, who is going to buy this car, even if they price it closer to $120k than $170k? Even a 25k premium for some moderate weight savings is hard to justify. But if Nissan is just producing 20-30, they'll find enough fools to buy this. I'd be kind of surprised if Nissan even bothered with trying to produce this for the American market.
Overboost is kind of inane. It's like the turbo button on old PCs. What am I supposed to do with 15 extra lb.ft.? Is this really going to make blood shoot out the engine if this is engaged for more than 80 seconds at a time? I'd save more time by not pressing the button. I still maintain that Nissan should just de-tune this engine, drop it in the Z chassis, mate it to a proper manual transmission and charge $45-50k or so for it. Then you would have a very compelling sports car. |

$171K - ahhhhhhhh no.
Even uglier than the standard GT-R. The lines of the car look so off. It looks like someone melted the bottom of the car and those wheels are just horrible!

YES! This car is a FAIL.
We don't need track times, horsepower, weight savings, or any of that other crap information. We just need to look at a car and it's price to decide whether or not it's a fail! The fact that the Spec-V changed so little in regards to aero, shows how good the original was. I would like to thank Nissan for not buying into the tacky modifications we see many performance brands using. Keep it simple, keep it functional. Last edited by vAnt826; 01-10-2009 at 04:14 AM.. |
